“Ok will you be receiving guest?”

“Yes but they will arrive with me I have to go to the store to get some things and then I will be right back” I said with a soothing voice and then smiled. From the look on her face I was just another customer, but what she didn't know that when I left I would be sure to show her that I wasn’t.

I walked around awhile and then I stumbled upon an old bar. I walked inside sensing it reeked with my kind. It appeared to be a club for the so called undead, even though we were vampires we could all die and if they wouldn’t help me I would happily show them that.

As I walked in to the main room I noticed it was crawling with drunken people dancing around like there was no tomorrow. I walked to the bar where I saw a middle age man covered in tattoos and piercings.

“And what can I get this young lady to drink?” he asked has he looked at me up and down.

“Um well I would like a…. Martini with the umbrellas” I giggled which pulled off the act to be like any other wasted girl in this bar.

“Of course... What color umbrella?” his flirtatious smile was very appealing, but I knew he was just compelling me.

“A pink one covered in vervain” I hissed. I knew what that could do to a vampire if it was taken pure, but it was worth keeping him out of my head.

He was shocked and from the look of his face I knew he had bad experiences with it. “Sorry Miss, but we don’t carry it.”

He signaled over what looked like the manager, and just before he could finish I was in his head. “Well it looks like you should” I said sending great pain into his kneecaps. I’ve always wanted to rip someone’s kneecaps off but I knew right here wasn’t a good place. I leaned over the bar and whispered in his ear “call them off now and come with me or else I will make you regret the day you were turned” I winked; I didn't keep it a secret that I knew what he was.

He winked back “I always like them feisty” his attitude sickened me.

“in five minutes meet me behind the bar there’s a large dark alley you can’t miss, if you don’t show up ill kill everyone in here.” It wasn’t a threat it was a promise, and one I was sure to keep.

“Always so ready” I giggled playing along I knew I didn't want to make a scene in here.

I walked outside and waited. It was three minutes after I left when he showed up he was carrying a bottle of jack and was walking straight: another sign he was a vampire.

“What do you want?!” he said as I entered his aura unleashing very disturbing thoughts of women I didn’t know.

“Well I think you can help me out, you know Klaus Smith, very cruel man?” The name had very crucial memories I didn't want to see.

“Yes” he said with a shaky voice I want familiar with “He killed my wife and daughter, because I tried to save you, obviously you don’t remember that cruel bastard made Greene erase your memories”

“Yeah I know I killed him”

He laughed “I wouldn’t doubt it you have been reborn and raised by Klaus. I’m surprised you’ve let me live this long.”

“You really don’t know anything about Klaus” the words shocked me I couldn’t believe I was defending him.

“I know he’s a man of no mercy. He killed my father in front of my eyes when I was 7” he paused in pain “I was in my room in our old cottage, and I heard my father scream in fear. I wandered into the living room where I found my father tied by his ankles hanging from the ceiling. I saw a man in all black carrying a knife as he walked toward my father. I screamed in terror as he slit my father’s throat. He bled out in within minutes. I sat and cried for hours. Klaus came back within days and burned my house. I begged him to leave that I wouldn’t say anything to anyone” he looked down at the ground so I couldn’t see his eyes water.

“I understand you have a strong dislike amongst him but I still don’t know what to do. I want my old life back and if that means playing favorites on Klaus’s side I’ll have to.”

“I understand Ever, but playing favorites to get what you want can be a very dangerous game to play, especially when there’s more to it than that” his words offended me. I was utterly shocked by his opinion.

“How would you know?”

He didn't answer.
