Oh boy, what a day, what a day.
Good afternoon, lady's and gents!
We're about to enter the pits of hell!
I hope you enjoy the humiliation you're about to face!
I stood there, my hand on the door knob, thinking.
Should I open it? Or stay in here forever and hope to God I can last on my secret stash of snacks?
I've been standing here ever since I finally woke up.
It seems like hours ago.
Actually, I woke up several minutes ago.
But it still feels like I've been standing here forever.
I took in a deep breath, and slowly let it out, deciding it was about time I got out there and face evil. I unlocked my door, and slowly opened it, peeking my head out. It seemed as if the coast was clear, so I took a cautious step out.
And another...
And another...
Hmm, she didn't set any traps.
Alright, I'm safe! For now,anyway.
I sigh of relief, walking normally down the stairs.
When I got to the bottom step, Carl was standing there, looking his usual self. "Any news about the boss?" I asked, standing close to the stairs, just in case she wanted to make another " Texas Chainsaw Massacre." Starring Veronica; the psychopathic evil with the chainsaw. Starring Diamond; the girl who ends up upsidedown and gets her arms and legs cut up all over the floor that's covered in her blood because of her stupidity and foolishness.
"She's out and about, as usual." He replied, watching me as I let out another sigh of relief.
"Any news for me?" I asked, strolling into the kitchen, looking for food.
Since I never completed my mission yesterday because of the demon. "Your friends dropped by, asking if you would like to join them for lunch." He said, reading a note in his hands.
Oh,God, don't tell me he's turning senile.
Who else will remember cheats and codes on my games?
"Anything else?" I asked, making myself a tasty bacon sandwich. We had leftovers from yesterday! Probably won't be as tasty as it was, but who cares?
"They're going to meet you at Burger King, around five, and Diamond?" He looked at his watch, then looked at me questioningly. "Why are you up earlier than usual?" He asked as I was pouring Apple juice in my favorite black cup. I shrugged, taking a sip.
"What time is it?" I asked, taking a bite into my tasty Bacon sandwich.
"Four." He replied.
"I have enough time for myself, then." I said, happily. I started thinking why I got up earlier than usual. "Oh,Carl! I think I know why!" I said, looking as if a brilliant idea popped up in my head.
"It was because of this nightmare I had! Aw,man! It was terrifying!" I explained to him, he looked curious. "What was it?" He asked, questionably.
"I thought you would never ask." I said, a devilish smirk crept across my face. "Anyway, I dreamt of evil Veronica," I explained while Carl walked into the kitchen, probably about to make himself some coffee. "I was laying in bed, drawing..." I thought for a moment, raising an eyebrow, looking up as if I was thinking hard. "Something." I said, looking blank for a moment, then lit up. "Anyway! I was drawing, minding my own business, then SHE appeared out of nowhere! Carl! She had fangs the size of my arm!" I said, thrusting my arm out in front of me, a terrified expression on my face. Well, I think it was a terrified expression. "Go on, I'm listening." He said, not really paying attention to my ninja like move. I straightened myself out a bit, then continued. "She was taller than usual, which freaked me out a bit. And then she started SCREAMING at me! She didn't even stop to take a breathe! She just kept yelling and screaming and yelling..." I said, acting exhausted. "Then what?" Carl asked, stirring his coffee, then was about to take a sip. "Well, then you came along, and said dinner was ready." I told him, and he had just taken a sip of his coffee, too. Next thing I knew, he was laughing and coughing, coffee was all over the floor. It was either too hot and it seemed funny to him, or he's cracking up.
He wiped away a tear, must've been from all that laughter. Or pain. "Oh,miss Mystery! You are probably the only person here that can make me laugh that hard." He said, cleaning up the spilt coffee and chuckled. "Wait, you thought that was funny?" I asked, looking confused. "Why, yes. It seemed so random, how I strangely came in and said dinner was ready, I thought it pretty funny." He said, smiling. He stood up and looked at his watch. "You best get ready, miss Mystery, so you don't have to hurry when you leave." He said, putting the dishcloth away. "What time is it?" I asked, finishing up my sandwich.
"Four fifteen." He replied, sweeping up the floor.
I sighed, putting the dish in the dishwasher, then headed up stairs. I suppose he's right.
For once.
