Ashton sat between Luke and Patrick as the room filled with people. Seconds ticked by as it got closer and closer to eight. As the judge began to speak Ashton's skin felt like it was on fire.
"Has the jury reached a verdict on all charges?" The judge asked.
"Yes we have your honor."
"On the one count of child abuse, how does the jury find?" The judge asked.
"On the one count of child abuse, we find the defendant guilty."
Ashton was still worried, there was one more charge. The charge that meant the most to him.
