Troubling Times Ahead

Seto had only slept for a short amount of time though not from lack of comfort but out of habit, having to live off powernaps throughout his life as - in his own mind at least - wasting time on long periods of sleep left less time to get what needed done out the way. He didn't get to where he was now by sleeping around, after all. The sun was beaming through the large bay windows that shone into his office though its rays didn't quite reach his desk where he worked, the scenario of a dueling simulator upon its screen. Last nights party wasn't entirely unplanned by himself, Yugi Moto having participated in a fair number of duels allowing the billionaire to get a good recording of his dueling strategy. Though deep down, he knew that this simulator couldn't be trusted entirely...Yugi always had the ability to surprise him, overcoming the odds and just get downright lucky.

"Seto? Seto are you there?" A voice belonging to Mokuba asked, his image flashing in the corner of the monitor to which he ended the simulator and opened up the video call. "There you are!"

"What's the problem?" He asked in his usual callous way though his brother didn't seem bothered by it as he laughed softly.

"I was worried for a minute you actually slept in this morning after you didn't come home last night. That perhaps you enjoyed the party-"

"Mokuba, i've no-"

"No time for frivolous activities, I know. Hey listen, there was some trouble last night while you were at the party. Nothing serious, just the cameras picking up these images." Mokuba began, sending a file to Seto who opened it immediately to see cctv surveillance of cloaked figures. "They were seen watching Kaiba Corp for a good five or six hours last night, probably waiting for you to get back. We couldn't check any of their faces but there haven't been any reports since."

His eyes narrowed slightly as he studied the figures in purple, hooded cloaks and couldn't help but feel that this wasn't the last time he'd be seeing these freaks. But, ever the brooding male, he closed the images and returned to looking at his younger brother.

"I doubt they're actually anything to be worried about. Don't worry about me, Mokuba, I can take care of myself. I'll be back soon."

"Okay Big Brother. I'll get something for us to eat as I bet you've been up all night again!" Mokuba said cheerily, smiling brightly before closing the video call.

Returning to typing on the computer, his research sidetracked away from duelling momentarily as he crosschecked surveillance cameras to see if these hooded figures had been seen anywhere else around Domino City. It took only a few minutes, thanks to his state of the art technology as well as his keen intellect, and new cctv images began to pop up on his screen. Seven to be exact. The first few locations hadn't worried him at all as they weren't near anything he felt important to him. However he did notice that one had been spotted near Yugi Moto's place - the game shop which earned a soft frown. The other image would usually have been overlooked as it was a camera feed from a run down surburban area. But given his recent interests, he knew exactly where it was.

"A-Aaah!" Came a sudden cry from the bedroom, followed by a thump sound, the brown haired male shaking his head gently before closing the screens to continue later.

Standing from his desk, he made his way to the bedroom door and opened the door with a sceptical look on his face. Sitting on the floor with a hand rubbing her rear, he found Evangeline half dressed with the fresh jeans he'd left out for her tangled around her ankles, quickly able to deduct exactly what happened.

"I'm beginning to wonder exactly how you've managed to survive all these years, Beaumont, when you can't even do the simplest task of putting on pants." He scolded, folding his arms across his chest as he looked down at her.
