Beginning Of The End

THE MISSION (JOURNAL ENTRY 1)

It all started when we failed the mission. Around 3 months ago, Martian race of mars was planning on attacking the human race due to them thinking that human race was unworthy of living because of what they had done to their planet.

They were jealous of the resources that humans had and were angry of the fact that they were carelessly finishing up their resources and destroying their planet. Martians thought that they could save and maintain the planet better than humans. So to do so they were planning on clearing out the human race so that they could take over the planet.

United worlds, an organisation that ensures that peace is maintained within our galaxy, tried to stop the war from happening by convincing the Martians that war would not achieve them anything and that they would lay down certain terms, so as they said, to save the planet.

After a month of discussion, the Martians decided to not war but were not convinced that this is how the earth could be saved. Instead they had a better idea to just change the whole human race into the Martians.

So they secretly started working on a biochemical which would do the job. They also designed a special type of weapon, a bomb for the spreading the same. Finally they came up with a compound and started making it on a large scale. After 6 weeks they were ready.

Somehow they managed to smuggle this on earth. There plan next was to use a special type of weapon to spread this biochemical globally. But the united worlds was made aware of this and the location of the weapon by there contacts present on earth.

It was there in Nevada, Area 51. Just so that chaos was not created, Earth wasn't made aware of this. So to prevent the explosion from happening, they assembled a special task force ALPHA led by me.

It consisted of 5 human agents,including me, each specialising in a certain field. Dixon was our medical officer, Stacy was the weapons and bombs specialist, Frank was the computers and communications specialist, Natasha was second in-command and I, Nathan, the captain.

Our mission was to go prevent the weapon from activating and come back with it and a sample of the compound. Before leaving,we were given some special suits to protect us from the weapons of the aliens and the chemicals they used.

When we reached Earth and landed in Nevada ,we got the news from UW that the bomb had been armed and will detonate in the next 5 hours. We all had to rush but were optimistic that we would be able to diffuse it in time. As we approached Area 51, we saw many alien soldiers guarding a small facility . It was of the colour of the aliens-green and the structure certainly wasn't human made.

We were sure that the bomb was in there but were fully convinced that we won't be able to enter the facility without a fight but the problem was will we be able to diffuse the bomb in time if we got busy fighting? We simply couldn't waste time on fighting.

Frank tried to contact UW for some assistance but the signals were jammed. Encrypting the frequency would take a lot of time and we only had 4 hours. So instead, we decided to divide the team into two- Bravo and Spirit.

Bravo had Stacy and I. Spirit had the rest three with Natasha in command. The plan now was that team Spirit would distract the aliens on guard while team bravo would try and diffuse the bomb.

When done all would meet near the point where they were dropped off.With 3 and half hours left, we had to do this quick. Soon we proceeded with the plan.

It was successful and we were able to enter the facility. Now the problem were the guards inside. We knew that we couldn't start a shooting because then others would know. But the number of guards wasn't much so we slowly and quietly took them all down.

With 2 hours left with us to diffuse the weapon, we already thought that we were victorious. But as Stacy started trying to diffuse the bomb with some codes, they weren't working.

The pattern on this bomb was unlike anyone had ever seen. Every time she entered the code it decrease the time by 20 minutes. Soon we left with last 20 minutes, helpless, without hope that we would be able to save the race.

After 20 minutes, the bomb exploded and the compound was all over the world in no time. When we went out the facility, all we both saw were dead bodies of the aliens. Team spirit had killed them all, with the help of land mines present in Area 51.

But they were shocked that we failed to stop the bomb. With this we went back to the pickup point and contacted UW to inform them to pick them up. But UW answered back that we can't pick you up and that earth has been declared a quarantine zone.

They said that within an hour of the explosion, the effects of biochemical had started and the compound failed to act as it should have and now the humans were turning into something dangerous. And that we can't let this spread to any other planet. So that meant that we were stuck till the time UW could take any other decision?
