~~Jennifer
When he said he was driving I assumed he had a car. Boy was I wrong. he pulled out a key on a metal chain and walked over to the coolest looking bike I've ever seen. It was plain but it looked super expensive. It was black and there were spikes on the ends of the handles. Boy had style.
"You like?" he said snapping me out of my trance.
"uuhh yeah. Thing is, I've never been on one before." I admitted.
"You'll be safe with me heh, c'mon. Put the helmet on."
"Wait. You don't have one for you?"
"Don't need one. I'm a pro." yeah right.
"You sure you don't want the helmet?"
"I'm sure. Just put it on." I slid the helmet over my wavy locks and accepted the fact that I was gunna have helmet hair, I couldn't figure out how to fasten the strap so he turned and did it for me. He finally started the engine and I had a mini heart attack.
"Hold on." he said, as soon as I slipped my hands around his waist he sped off. "You alright back there?"
"Yeah I'm fine." I said still holding on to his waist.
"Well, we're here." Holy shit. I let go and slowly slid off of the bike. I reached up and tried to pull the helmet off. Then I looked at him with an expectant look.
"Oh, totally forgot you were helmet deficit."
"Am not!"
"Are so." he said snapping the helmet off, I could've sworn he was staring at my lips. Then he burst out laughing.
"What?!"
"Your hair!" Oh my gosh, I leaned forward and shook my hair out.
"Better?" I asked him
"Honest opinion?"
"Yes!"
"Hold on." he reached into his bag and pulled out Pantene hairspray. This dude never seizes to surprise me.
"Seriously?" Why the fuck does he have Pantene.
"The commercial was convincing, anyway, how do you think my hair stays so perfect? Think about it. Here, turn around."
"I don't trust you."
"Turn."
"No."
"C'mon just let me help you."
"Fine." I turned around and he started spraying and running his fingers through my hair.
"Done!" I ran to the nearest car and used the window as mirror. Not bad. He has to be gay.
"Not bad right? Now c'mon, I want to wash this crap off of my hands and get ice cream." Oh right. totally forgot we were getting ice cream.
"Well then, lets goooooo!!" I said as he made his way to the door of the parlor. I just met this guy and I was already letting him touch my hair. What the hell?
When we walked in I spotted Layla and Dylan getting all lovey dovey in a booth. They both looked at me at the same time and then at Mitch.
"You know Barbie and Ken over there?" he asked me, I just shook my head and laughed trying to hide my disappointment in Dylan. They left a couple of minutes later. Mitch ordered and extra large strawberry cheesecake blend.
"What the hell? Who's that for?" I asked him
"You'll see." he said handing the cashier the money and grabbing the carton of ice cream. "c'mon." he said walking out of the parlor and towards a car that looked kinda like Layla's.
"Wait! Where're you going?" I asked him. I have no idea what he's doing but, I'm sure it wasn't good so I followed behind him.
He knocked on the window and motioned for whoever was in the driver's seat to roll it down. They did.
"Hello, my friend here has something to say to the both of you."
What? No. No I don't!" I said in disbelief.
"Yes, yes you do. Now come here." I walked over to the car and looked at Mitch, Layla, and then Dylan.
"Oh the school whore is you friend? wow" Layla said looking up at Mitch.
"Look bitch! I'm not the whore. Here you are parading around with another guy! Knowing you're dating my best friend and you Dylan! You're a sorry excuse for a man! You're with the bitch that screwed up our relationship and she has a boyfriend! Jake was right! You're fucked up. Both of you are!" I took the ice cream from Mitch's hands and threw it into the car. "Get the fuck out and do something if you want Layla!" I yelled and walked over to Mitch's bike. As I was walking away I heard Mitch say. " Hey kid. You screwed any chance you had with her. Just thought you should know that."
He came over a few minutes later just as they drove off. "Thought you needed to get that off of your chest."
"Thanks, I guess." I said to him.
"Though, that wasn't what I planned for that ice cream but, whatever you made a better use of it."
"Hey um. Can you take me home? I should probably tell Jake that the bitch is cheating again."
"Wait she's done it before? Jake's an ass hole! I woulda dumped her ass the first time!" I caught myself laughing again.
"Thanks Mitch."
"For what? Buying ice cream that we didn't get to eat? Oh you're so welcome Jennifer."
"Oh shut up and take me home." I tell him. He holds the helmet out for me and I plop it on fastening the strap myself.
We got to my house at 4:30 and Jake's car was already in my driveway. "Thanks I tell him hopping off and handing him the helmet.
"You're welcome Jenn." he says and speeds away. I make my way to the doorway.
I'm starving.
