I smiled back at him as he drove off down the road, I literally just met the kid and he's a better friend than my actual bestfriend. I walked aroung to the back of my house and grabbed my ladder, it's actually great having a room with a balcony. 

When I got into my room I realized something was missing. Something I can't live without. I left my phone in Mitch's car! 

I flopped down onto my bed and hoped he'd realize it was there. I'm so stupid!! I ended up falling asleep about 30 minutes later.

"Jenny!! You're late for school sweetheart! Are you ok? Not feeling well? You can stay home you know."

"I'm fine Aunt Hellen, I'll be up in a few." I tell her half yawning.

I slid out of bed and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and empty my bladder, cause we all know how bad we have to pee in the morning. It's weird though because I usually have my phone to play music. Bleh. Oh well. 

When I was done I shook my way too curly hair out, put on sweatpants and my Cow's are not food t-shirt. I grabbed my backpack and ran downstairs as fast as my legs could take me and jumped into Aunt Hellens Benz.

"Well morning to you too kiddo." She chuckled and backed out of the driveway. 

As soon as she got to the school I jumped out of the car with a quick wave over my shoulder and ran straight to the main office. As son as I walked in I saw Jake sitting on the bench, he looked up and looked relieved for some reason.

"Jennifer hey!"

"Hey what's up? Get yourself in trouble?"

"No, I just thought I'd wait here for you, ya know since you were a no show in History." He chuckled and stood up "Don't worry I already talked to the pricipal and told him you'd be late, he excused you. You're welcome."

"Thanks?" I'm guessing he's trying to get back on my good side. I turned around and followed him out of the door and headed to my locker. 

We walked mainly in silence until he ruined it, "So how was your night, I mean you're 3 hours late to school...."

"My night was great, why?" He has some nerve questioning me. I can do what I want, he's the one who left me in the first place. "I'll see you later. I have some things I need to get done."

I knew that would shut him up. 

"Uhh yeah. OK, I'll see you around." He said and disappeared down the hallway.

I opened my locker and out fell a note. "What in the hell? The fuck is this?" I picked it up and started to unfold it, then someone tapped me on my shoulder. 

"Hey. Whatcha got there huh?" the voice asked.

"How about we keep our hands to ourselves Mitch?"

"Yes ma'am! Hey why are you so late" he asked leaning against the locker next to mine.

"I have no idea. I just couldn't get myself to get out of bed." I looked over at him and he looked like he had a perfect 8 hoursof sleep. "Well you look refreshed haha"

"Yeah well, I'm used to late nights, unlike you miss goodie two shoes."

"Hey, I'm not all good." I say closing my locker and walking past him down the hallway.

"Ohhhh is that so?" he says following behind me.

"Yeah. See you around." I say walking into my class without another word leaving him there speechless.
