"Hello mother, how are you? I'm doing fine."

"..."

"So much has happened that...I don't know where to start."

"..."

"Well, I guess it would make sense just to start from the beginning."

"..."

"It all began that night...Right, that night of the storm..."

____________

My "average" life, the one I've lived in blissful ignorance for 17 years, was all but a lie. Everything around me, most things I never gave a second thought to, was almost something else entirely, something I thought I would never see in this non-fictional work. It was all there, hiding in plain view, the majority of us were just to blind to see it. But as I've been told many times before,

"Many events have been set in motion because of your meddling."

But even now I don't regret the life I choose. I've made mistakes, I've made sacrifices, I've seen things I shouldn't have, I've said things I shouldn't have, I've done things I shouldn't have, well...you get the point. The road I choose was not a paradise, It wasn't filled with complete happiness. but even now, at this very moment, I don't regret a thing. Not a damn thing.
