Roses

Sneak into my garden,
you might not like the secret that I keep..
Whispers in the breeze,
warning you to turn and leave..
My roses are very tempting,
such a lovely shade of red..
To late,
they call for you,
soon you shall be dead..
Steps drawing you ever closer,
doomed by curiosity..
Roots slithering up behind you,
almost time for them to eat..
Reaching ever closer,
you move to touch a bud..
My pets sensing your near,
swiftly open up..
Dripping fangs,
tear into flesh..
Roots pull you down,
before you can scream,
you are pinned to the ground..
I tried to warn you away,
but you listened not to me..
Now you are nothing,
but a tasty treat..
