●●●●●●●●● I walking on to school with my head held high. Although I wasn't the popular girl or anything, I wasn't the nerd or loser that was picked on by everyone. I walked to my locker and opened it, I put my things in there but left my math and language books out. I had those two classes first, making sure I had my home work I walked to math class and saw that Julian was already in there. "Hey Julie!" I said, sitting next to her. She looked up and gave me a nervous grin and waved. " I know that look julie... What do you need?" I asked her. "Haha can I umm.. Copy your homework?"she said nervously. "Sure." I replied, getting my math homework out. "Thanks Melanie!" Julian said, getting it out of my hand.

Walking out of history I went to my locker to get my next subjects class books, and my $15 mom gave me. Walking to the cafeteria I spot 2 of my friends, Emma and Julian. "Hey guys! I'm gonna go get lunch be right back." I say putting my books down and walking to the lunch line. Once I got my lunch I go back to my table and Jasmine, Rose, and Suzy are now there. Sitting in between Jasmine and Emma I start eating. "Hey Melanie!" The three say, since my mouth is full I just wave back with a smile causing them to laugh. "Have you seen Kevin today?! He looks so hot!!" Rose suddenly exclaimed while looking over to the jocks table. I turn around to look and yes, yes indeed he looked hot.

The girls started drooling over him while I just laughed at them. Honestly Kevin was hot but he wasn't my type. Trying to distract them I suddenly exclaim "Hey don't forget tomorrow is my birthday!" I'm turning 17. "Of course we remember! Plus, we got an awesome birthday present!!" Jasmine said turning her attention towards me. The other girls nod, still looking at Kevin. I couldn't help but laugh at there faces. Soon lunch was over so we went to our classes, waiting for school to end.

Jasmine invites us to her house so we can have an early birthday party in her room. I ask my mom and she says that it's fine but to inform her if I decide to spend the night. Walking to the exit of school I wait at the front. Looking around I see something I never thought I would... I see Emma talking to Kevin, and even laughing. They were painfully obviously flirting. I quickly grabbed my phone and took several pictures. There's no way I was gonna let this slide... And I'm sure Emma would want the pictures as a memory. Looking through the pictures I didn't notice Emma walking up to me. "Guess what!!" Emma squealed, startling me. "Yeah, what?" I asked even though I knew the answer. "I tal-" before she could finish, I finished for her "you talked no wait flirted with Kevin!" I said showing her the picture of her laughing while holding his arm, you could even tell he was flexing his biceps with a grin on his face. "Omg!! Melanie you have to send me this picture!!" Emma once again started squealing. A few minutes later the rest of the girls came, so we went to Jasmine's house. At Jasmine's house we watched movies and talked about what we were going to do the next day. But they didn't tell me the surprise that they had planned. After 10pm I had to go home so I called my mom to see if she could pick me up. On the way home I told my mom how school was, and how the day at Jasmine's house was. ●●next morning●●●
I woke up to sophie growling at me. "What's wrong girl? Hmm..?" I asked her. She kept growling I roll to my back to feel something uncomfortable. I move my back to the side a little, but it was still there getting up to a sitting position I turn my head around to look at what was on my bed that made me uncomfortable. But what I don't see is my bed but instead white. I quickly get up which caused sophie to growl even more, and went to my mirror... "MOM!! DAD!!" I yell crying. 'What is this?' I turn around to look at my back through the mirror. There are wings on my back. I quickly sit down, not being able to hold myself up. I look up when my mom and dad come to my room. "What's wrong sweetie?" My mom asked me. I look at her confused. 'Did they go away?' I look back but they were still there. "Look mom look!!" I sobbed pointing behind me to the wings on my back. "What's is It? What's wrong honey?" This time it was my dad.' Can't you see it!!' I wanted to yell in their faces. But instead I just shook my head and apologized for waking them up at 6am on the weekend. I get up and look in the mirror, this time you can't see them. But I can see them when I turn my head.
...I don't know what to do..
