Harmony's POV

-2 Weeks Later-

My heart ached and the sirens blared. I don't think I have ever been this upset. So upset, my heart literally hurt and I hadn't stopped sobbing for two hours. The only person that was allowed anywhere near me was my father. That's how you knew it was bad.

Around ten o'clock tonight, I got a phone call. One that I never thought I would have to listen to.

-A Few Hours Earlier-

Looking at the time, I knew I should probably get to bed. I had three exams tomorrow and I had to wake up early to finish up an assignment.

I plug my phone into the charger and turn my light off. Snuggling beneath my covers brings a small smile of pleasure to my face. I had always loved that feeling. Getting all comfy and warm underneath a bunch of blankets. You would think I rather sleep in a pool of ice water because of how hot Australia is. I've never minded the warmth. It made me feel safe and cozy.

I close my eyes and feel myself starting to drift into sleep. Just as sleep is about to take over my body, my phone begins to ring. My eyes jolt open and I'm immediately sitting up right. I pick up my phone and slide the bar to the right so I could answer the call.

"Greg?!"

"Hey, beautiful." He sounded like he was crying. Earlier today, Greg wasn't in a good mood. He was upset and didn't seem like himself.

"Babe, what's wrong?"

"Harmony Nicole Hood, I'm sorry. Good night, baby. I love you so much." And with that the call was ended.

Something wasn't right. I quickly dialed Tyler, Greg's brother. A few rings pass before he answers. "Ty?"

"Harmony? Why are you calling me? It's almost midnight."

My eyes start to well with tears, "Tyler, you need to go check on Greg."

"Why?"

"Just go! He called me and- Tyler I think he's gonna do something stupid."

I hear Tyler curse and then his feet running down the hard wooded hallways. I hear Tyler open Greg's bedroom door, followed by faint crying.

"Oh my fucking God. Harmony, I have to call an ambulance. I'll call you right back." He hangs up, leaving me in tears. I take my phone off the charger and slip on a pair of shoes.

Wiping away tears, I open my parent's bedroom door. "Dad?" I sob.

He groans and opens his eyes a little, "Harmony, go to bed."

"No, dad. You have to take me to Greg's."

"Why?"

I knew what I had to say. It was the truth but, the truth is the last thing I want to hear right now. "I think he tried killing himself, dad." I say, my voice cracking in between words. At my words he gets up from bed and slips into a pair flip flops and puts on a shirt.

We make our way downstairs and get into the car. As much as my dad hated Greg, he knew how much he meant to me. Getting into the car only makes me cry more. I never thought I would have to do this.

"Do me a favor and text your mum. Just let her know what's going on." He says, as he backs out of the driveway. I nod my head and send her a text. Greg didn't live far from my house and I could've easily walked there but, I knew by the time I got there he would've already been taken to the hospital.
