Harmony's POV

So hot. That's the only way I could explain today's weather. My shorts were so short, I might as well be wearing underwear. Days like these, my parents would let us stay home from school. A lot of kids would stay home as a matter of fact. It was just too much. Forget focusing on that reading assignment, all you'd be worried about is your thighs being permanently stuck to the chairs.

"Out of my way people, I'm going in your pool." Natalia yells, barging into our backyard, Chris close behind.

I give Chris a questioning look, "She doesn't have a pool." Chris chuckles.

"You have a pool though." I reply.

"Listen, this was her idea. Not mine." He says, throwing his hands up in defense.

I sigh, "Fine. Did you at least bring Hayley with you?"

"Yeah, she'll be here in a minute." He explains, putting his towel on a chair and taking off his shirt. Music begins to play through the speakers and I could hear my dad singing along inside.

"I'm here! The party could start now." Hayley announces, throwing all of her stuff on the ground and jumping into the pool. She goes under water to get her hair wet and then swims up to the ledge. "Aren't you coming in?" She asks.

"Aren't you supposed to be with Andrew?" I ask her, changing the subject.

"First of all, no offense but, your brother is boring as fuck and I don't like him anymore. Second of all, don't change the subject."

"Well then, Squishy-

"My dad only calls me squishy you shit." She laughs.

"Don't interrupt me that's rude you jerk."

"Bitch." She smirks.

"Anyway," I sigh, "you know I don't like the water."

"Oh, come on. You've been scared of water since you were like, ten. You're gonna be 17 next month."

"No."

She sighs and gets out of the pool. Nervous that she's going to push me in, I back away from the pool. "Calm yourself, I'm just checking my phone." She chuckles. Besides the chatter coming from Chris and Natalia, it's quiet. "Harmony, where's my phone?" Hayley asks.

"I don't know." I reply, scrolling through my own phone.

"Can you help me find it?" She asks.

Without answering, I get up, set my phone aside and start helping her. Of course, that was a mistake. One second I'm walking on the patio next, I'm in the freezing cold water. I was underwater for what felt like forever.

When I finally come up from underwater, Hayley is jumping into the water next to me. I make my way over to the shallow end of the pool. She comes up from the water, "You good, Harmony?" She laughs.

Narrowing my eyes at her I reply, "I'm fine, you ass."

"Hey, no swearing." A different voice says. I look around to find an extremely happy looking Ashton.

"Sorry, uncle Ash but, she deserved it."

"Why's that?" He chuckles.

"Well, as you could probably tell, I'm still wearing my clothes. Which could only mean she pushed me in." I explain.

"Oh. I would say that she deserves it but, I'm not because as an adult I'm not supposed call kids asses." He frowns. We share a laugh and he heads inside.

Throwing me off my train of thought, Hayley splashes me with water. "Oh, so now you wanna splash me?" I ask, raising my eyebrows. She nods her head and smiles that devilish grin of hers, "Fine." I start, "Two could play at that game."

Hayley's POV

C'mon Hayley, you could do this. I thought to myself. She was standing right in front of me with a smile on her face. She was in a good mood. It's not like I had to sit there and make out with her. Just  a quick little peck and see what happens. The timing was perfect, Natalia and Chris were off doing their own thing and everyone else was inside.

You're probably wondering what the hell is going on. I'm going to show you all right about... now. I take this perfect opportunity and make my move. I take a deep breath and then, boom. Harmony and I are kissing. It was warm and it felt like butterflies were fluttering around my stomach. Although, it worried me that she wasn't kissing back at first but, then she was. Our lips moved perfectly in sync.

She frantically pulls back, panic all over her face, "Hayley!" She yells in a whisper.

"What?" I chuckle.

"What was that for?" She asks, her cheeks burning red.

"Well, I guess I kinda like you. Like, a lot."

"H-How long?" She asks.

"For awhile."

"Explain awhile."

"Like, several months." I answer.

"Oh."

Before I could open my mouth to say anything, she gives me a hug and gets out of the pool. Here's the story; I've always liked Harmony. I just never had the courage to ask her out. All my life, I knew there was something different about me.

I've got to admit even back in Primary School when we had to change for gym, my eyes would linger over the other girls. Although, I had always thought that maybe I was just confused because, I liked boys too.

Later in life I came to realize and to accept the fact that I was indeed bisexual. Unfortunately, nobody knows about it. I've always been so nervous to come out in fear of being made fun of. Now the only one who knows is Harmony.

The hard part is waiting to see if things get awkward or things get better.

Chris' POV

"My team's gonna kick your ass." She smirks.

"Yeah, okay Natalia. My team's already won 5 of the ten games. How many games has your team won, babe?"

"Two." She mumbles.

"I'm sorry, what was that?" I chuckle.

"Two games, Christopher! Two games!"She replies, a small smile on her face.

Unlike most futbol teams, our school has the boy's team and the girl's team go against each other. Natalia and I have a game tomorrow. I think it's quite obvious that we're going against each other and my team will most likely beat hers. Although, if her coach has Natalia and Harmony in at once, we might not do as good as I think.

Before I could say anything else, Natalia and I are splashed with water. Looking over to the side of the pool, we find Hayley bent over laughing and we could faintly see Harmony under the water. Hayley could be such a bitch sometimes. She literally just pushed her best friend into the pool for no damn reason and she knows pretty damn well that Harmony doesn't like the water.

I turn back to Natalia and smile, "Natalia." I sigh.

"Yes?"

"You know, I'm really happy you hit me in the head with that soccer ball."

She smiles, "Awe, I'm really happy I kicked you in the head with the soccer ball too."
