Harmony's POV
*2 Weeks Later*
With the recent loss of Spencer and the news of my mother's pregnancy, going out in public had been quite the struggle. It had seemed like the paparazzi knew our every move. It's like they memorized our schedules. We can't even take the bus to school anymore.
Everywhere we went they would take pictures of us, ask us questions, annoy the shit out of us. You know, the usual. Except it was worse than "the usual". My cousins dyed their hair and started wearing makeup; yes, even Cody. Although, his only consisted of foundation a shade darker than his skin and freckles drawn on with a brown eyeliner pencil.
None of us are even allowed to leave the house without a pair of sunglasses and a hoodie. All of a sudden, everyone knew everything about us. They knew everything down to our blood type. I didn't even know my own blood type until someone tweeted that theirs is the same as mine. In case you were wondering, it's O negative.
"Mum, I'm going to Hayley's!" I yell from upstairs as I finished getting dressed.
"Alright, love. Please don't forget your sunnies and a hoodie." She replies.
I roll my eyes, "Mum, it's 37 degrees outside. I can't wear a hoodie, I'm gonna melt like the wicked witch of the west. Besides, it's only a block away." I sigh, making my way downstairs.
(A/N for all you Americans, like myself, 37 degrees Celsius is just about 100 degrees Fahrenheit.)
"Harmony Nicole, you need to put it on. You never know who or what you're going to come across out there."
"Fine." I mumble, placing my sunglasses over my eyes and my slipping into my sweatshirt. I head to the kitchen to find my mom in front of the oven, cooking dinner. Although my mum is currently four months pregnant, I have to admit, she still looks good as hell.
I give her a hug from behind, "Bye, mum."
She turns around and smile, "Bye, sweetheart. I'm assuming you'll be having dinner with the Cliffords tonight?"
"Yeah, I'll be home around 8. Love you." I explain.
"I love you too, stay safe."
I give her a smile and walk out the door. Just one step outside was all it took for me to start melting. Then a faint flash of light catches my eye. My head twists to the right just in time to catch the pap. "Oi! Will you cut it out! Leave us alone!" I shout.
A few more flashes of light and they're gone. I shake my head and cover myself with my hood.
Thankfully, I make it to Hayley's without anymore run-ins with the paps. Knocking on the door, I decided to remove my sunglasses and take off my sweatshirt. The door slowly opens, revealing a crazed looking Hayley.
"Thank God. You're here." She groans, taking my arm and dragging me inside. She pulls me towards the kitchen and sits me down on one of the stools.
"Why aren't we going upstairs?" I ask.
Her eyes go wide, "We cannot go up there." She whispers.
"Why not?"
"Chris and Natalia are doing something up there and I don't want to find out. That's why we're staying down here today."
"Oh." I chuckle.
"Sooooo, what do you wanna do?" She asks me.
"Fifa?"
"Fifa."
