Mia Lahey was still trying to understand what Scott and Stiles told her two days later. There was a hit list, a "deadpool" as Lydia put it, with other supernatural creatures. Everyone on the list was worth money, that will all add up to 117 million dollars.
Mia, Scott, and Stiles were at the police station the morning before school, trying to tell the sheriff, Stiles' dad, about the list.
"How did you find this list?" The sheriff asked all the of them.
"Lydia wrote it-well she transcribed it- and she broke it with a cipher key."Stiles explanted it to his father. The Sheriff assumed it was Lydia powers and her was right.
"Well, what was the key?"
"Not what, who," Mia clarified, telling him that the key to breaking the code was a person's name.
Scott looked to Mia then Stiles.
"Allison's name broke code," he said. "Her name got us the list."
"Now we think that there will be two more lists," Mia said.
"Why do you say that?" The sheriff asked, looking to his son. Stiles had studied this more than anyone. Mia was certain of this Stiles look as if he hadn't got any sleep over the last two nights.
"It all has to add up the 117 million dollars, it's the money taken for the hale vault," Stiles explained.
The sheriff shifted places, still behind his desk, he was looking at pictures of the murders so far. Someone was decapitated at the party the was two nights ago, Mia heard, the delivery guy. Apparently, he was a werewolf, because Argent and Scott saw the crime scene for themselves. "So who ever order the keg, is our killer."
"The killer is a student," Mia mumbled.

Mia was distracted at school, she barely had spoken a word to anyone. In English she remembered that she had kissed Liam, she didn't look at him after that. Her mind was filled with the threat of the deadpool. Never in Beacon Hills had she been this scared. Mia had always believed that her friends to fight the threat, but this as different. She didn't know anything about this list, whether she was on it or not.She tried to put that in the back of head at the end of science. "Hey, Liam." She said to him, tapping his shoulder.
"What?" Frustration filled his voice."Why are you avoiding me?" Mia asked. This got his attention.
"I'm the one avoiding you? Yesterday you kissed me, and now you've been avoiding me. You haven't even said hi to me," Liam said. Mia felt bad, but she couldn't think of anything to say to him.
"I know, I'm sorry. I'm still trying to figure out the deadpool, and wrap my head around it."
"You don't think I'm not doing that same? Mia, I'm worried that we're on it next." Liam said as he took her hand."How do you know that I'm not on it?"
"I asked, of course. Anything for a friend, remember?" Guilt was building up in her stomach. Mia didn't check to see if he was on the list.
"Right, of course," Mia smiled. She finally grabbed his hand. "And I'm sorry for the kiss, it was stupid."
"Don't apologize. I liked the kiss, it was a great kiss." Mia couldn't help but to blush, and it was so obvious. Liam was chuckling quietly, looking at her.
The one moment of silence that had, Mason wrecked it. He stormed up the the babbling about how team that Beacon Hills Lacrosse team was dueling tonight. Mia still, walking fast keeping up with both boys, was wondering why all this mattered.
"Liam, wait, stop!" Mia called as she saw Liam and Mason run outside.
"Brett!" She heard Liam yell. Pushing the door open, Mia rushed to His side. "Have a good game." Liam held out his hand, waiting for the tall, slim boy in front of him to shake it; but the boy just laughed.
