As usual, I meet Skye at her locker during nutrition and we walk together back to the tables. We don't really have an appetite so we skip out on the cereal bars and yogurt.

"You know you have Brad next. What's your plan."

"I'm not going to lie, that's I'll I've been thinking about these past two periods and I still have no idea what I'll say."

"You knew what to say to Brody."

"What are you saying..."

Skye sighs at me. "You knew what to say to Brody because you meant it. You don't want to lose Brad."

"Um I barely know him I went on one date."

"Yea but you have crush."

"Hm. Crushing or graduating?" I say sarcastically.

"Okay do you want my opinion on this or not?"

"Yea."

"Brutally honest or helpful?"

"Honest as always."

"Okay. I don't think going on a couple more DATES with Brad is going to ruin your life forever. It's not like Stanford is going to be like oh no we can't accept her she interacted with a male human. If you want a good life, work for it, but remember to enjoy it too. Don't throw everything away for maybe. You don't know for sure if you'll get in so small sacrifices can be made along the way. Including a boyfriend who honors your study ethic and will know when you can and can't go out. If that's Brad, great. But I'm not just saying this for Brad. Live a little."

"Your so cheesy."

"I mean it! Loosen up home skillet!"

"Okay okay... Only if you never say that again. Ever."

"So this is what we're going to do. tomorrow is Saturday. You're going to wake up and do whatever. From 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. you'll get some studying in for SAT's. Eat late lunch, then watch TV or whatever until 5 p.m. When you'll shower, get dressed, and do hair / makeup so I can pick you up at 7 and we can go to Danny's party. "

"That's actually not a bad plan."

"I know."

"But I only study an hour and a half. You put me to study for three. That's the entire weekends worth of studying."

"Hun, you can't do that studying Sunday cause of your hangover, that's why you do it Saturday."

"Okay yea that's another thing. I'm not taking one sip of alcohol. You know how intolerant I am. Two glasses of wine will get me drunk."

"Aw I'll be there to take care of you."

"Other way around."

"Okay if I follow all these 'rules', can you promise you'll at least get did and have a little fun?"

"Please, as if you need to ask me to get did." I laugh with her.

The bell finally rings for third period and I come back to the present. I know Skye is right but I already told Brody I wouldn't be with either of them so now I'm more confused then I ever was before. I walk into class and take a seat quickly and Brad is already there.

"Hey." He smiles at me.

"Hey." I smile back. I look down at my binder and start to distract myself when I here his accent again.

"So I was thinking, our date yesterday was kind of all about me and the band. Tonight, eight o 'clock, we only talk about you. I get to ask you any question."

"Can we talk at lunch it just seems a bit odd during class..."

"Um yea" he laughs oblivious to the fact I'm stalling. We spend the rest of class without speaking to each other and I rush out to fourth period afterwards.
