The blood was rushing to my head after hanging from the cytoplasmic chains. I had given up from trying to escape. I knew already that I was going to be disembodied anyway. It doesn't matter, as long as she is safe. I could die without sadness as long as she was okay. I loved her with all of my heart, and I would do anything for her. She was my only friend, and she was the only thing I could ever care about. Even if we can't be together, I was content. I heard the blurred voices from outside my prison chamber. They were trying to get as much information on Blaze as possible, but with my mental block, nothing could sway me. Not even death. I heard the familiar swish of the door opening to reveal Commander Tower, his face expressing pure rage.
"You stupid hedgehog! Why won't you tell me anything!!!" He screamed at me, hand slamming down on the shocking button.
"Are you aware that you aren't doing this for the others, your doing it for power. You have no means in protecting humans and Mobians." I seethed, my voice tired and exhausted.
"Well, if that's the case, you know my little secret. And to those who know that... They have a short time left. Very short." He said coldly.
"Go ahead. I'm not afraid of you." I pressed, knowing he wouldn't. He was just trying to get me to talk about Blaze.
"Well, I can exchange your position with someone else." He chuckled darkly, pressing a button. The ceiling opened up. And down fell Blaze.
"BLAZE!" I screamed.
"I'll let you two chat. Tick tock, Hedgehog." Tower said ruthlessly with pure evil. He exited the room, and shut the door. I used all of my energy to try and break through the cables, but it's no use (A/N- Silver puns... Sorry 😅). My eyes welled up. They had her. I couldn't protect her anymore. I extended my hand just enough to stroke her sleeping face. Tears streamed down my face. I loved her, and never did a dang thing about it. But now, this was my last chance to see her. I sniffed, a watery smile crossing my face. I was going to die for her I always knew, but I never pictured it like this. I reached for her hand, fingers brushing against hers. I felt so close, closer than ever. She was going to live and I was going to die. Just as I was about in reach, electricity surged through my body, and bright spears of green shot through me. I groaned and clutched my chest. I touched her hand, my blood staining her white glove.
"I... Love... You..." I whispered, the remaining life draining out of me. I looked at the killer, ruby red eyes and black and red fur.
"P-please don't hurt her...." I murmured, tears streaming down my face, mixing in with my blood. I looked down at her once more, sobbing as I said farewell. But... I was so... So happy. Though I could never be with her physically, I would always be by her side. I was a part of her now. Never to be separated. My eyes closed, the last thing I remember seeing was her, peaceful and relaxed. My mind flashed with memories of her. Never had I once  seen her at rest, somethings I had yearned to see my entire life. The life drained out of me,  my soul dissolving into nothingness. And then I heard something.
"I won't. I swear."
