⚠️Warning! Mild swearing!⚠️
I mindlessly twirled one of my ivory curls with my fingers as I waited out of Tower's office. It seemed like Shadow really got himself in a pickle this time. I filed my nails as I thought of all of the repercussions of this heated argument, and gnawed on my bottom lip nervously. I started to file my nails faster, more impatiently, until Omega spoke up.
"Your heart-rate is highly unstable."
"Well damn straight it is!" I cursed angrily. "Lord knows what Shadow is going through right now for that stupid cat! It's not even about money anymore-"
"He has feelings for her." Omega finished my rant in a sense I would have never proposed. I chuckled, but then I realized, Omega is a robot. He doesn't have a sense of humor.
"Your not kidding are you..?" I breathed, eyes in terror. Shadow can't be in love. He was an experiment... he probably had less emotions than Omega had. After all he has been through.
The door opened with a slam against the wall, me practically leaping out of my own skin. quickly gained composure, as Shadow nodded his head out towards the hallway. Me and Omega got up onto our feet without a comment and began to follow Shadow. He made a hard left into the break room, and snagged a mug from the cupboard.
"What the hell went on in there Shadow? You're acting like a loon." I snapped, spinning him around so crimson eyes met teal.
"I'm fine." He seethed, spinning himself back around toward the coffee machine.
"No your not! You only drink coffee when your stressed! Now tell me went on in that office or I'll find out myself!" I snarled back, unplugging the coffee machine in rage. He turned around back around, eyes burning in absolute anger, as his fingers in closed around my neck like a viper closing in on it's prey. Omega ripped him off me before things got lethal, and I fell to the ground, shattering the ceramic coffee mug. My heart sunk, and I realized I made a huge mistake.
"No!" Shadow screamed, lunging for the pathetic remains of the blue mug.
"Shadow I'm so sorry... it didn't mean to... I didn't..." I tried to form the right words, but I was unable to form a complete sentence. His body trembled, as he helplessly tried to piece back the remaining shards of the coffee mug.
"Sally.. no..." he whispered in anguish. His face contorted into rage, as he clenched the scrapes of the mug. "This was the mug she gave me!!! This was my last memory of her! The last thing she gave me before she died!!! The last piece of her, and now it's shattered! GONE! Now she really is gone!" He screamed at me, his eyes aglow. My wings slumped and my mascara mixed in with tears, as I tried to piece back together what was broken. But I realized, that no matter how much hot glue I used, it would always still be cracked and broken. Just like Shadow. But I realized, that maybe Shadow needed someone to be that hot, fiery glue in his life, someone to piece his heart back together. And as he ran out of the room, I sunk to my knees, and wished I could take back everything I've done to Blaze, for she was that hot glue who could mend my best friend.
