Heather ran. She saw Skylar racing up ahead.
Heather turned around and started to run backwards. I have an idea. She thought. Heather stuck out her palms. Ice shot up from the ground and formed a wall. It was foggy but Heather could see through it enough. They were started to break it now. At least it bought her some time. Heather turned around and raced after Skylar.
"What is going on?" Heather screamed after her.
"In here." Skylar grabbed the door on her left and pushed Heather in. It was the storage room.
Skylar closed the door and turned to face Heather. Heather raised her eyebrows.
"They found me with that book, the book you got me." Skylar sighed. Heather slapped her hand on her forehead.
"I know! I was being stupid." Skylar mumbled.
"That doesn't matter right now. We need to figure out how to get out of here." Heather looked around the closest. Suddenly a bell rung and a voice called over the speaker. It was Brian.
"All students must go to their dormitories immediately. Lock the doors, block the windows and vents with anything including powers. Wait for further instructions." Brian called. There was a rush of feet outside the door. Heather held a finger to her lips. Skylar peeked out the door. She nodded and pulled open the door. The two girls crept now the hallway. The wall of ice was shattered. The men were gone.
"Where did they go?" Heather asked out loud.
"Right here." Said a low voice from behind them.
