Ch. 16: Someone Else

(A/N: Hey guys! How was your day?? This feels weird tbh because I'm typing on my computer when i usually type on my phone. -_-

Haha anyways I'm bored so I figured that I should just update on this story and also because today's the day on my updating schedule for this story to be updated.

Screw this I'm going to type on my phone. Haha be back.

I can't stand to see us fail
We cried, we lied

Brandon:

I watch her slip out of my hands after screaming to me that she was done. Not just with me but white dude too.

"Tamia baby come back!" I yell with desperation in my voice to her back but she ignores me.

Stupid Brandon stupid! I had her and then I ruined everything! Now I have to think of another plan.

(haha short Brandon POV but next day at school.)

Tamia:

Last night I cried myself to sleep. Not because of Brandon but Kevin if I choose to be honest. I know I'm wrong but I really didn't miss my own boyfriend.

God what's wrong with me?!

"Tamia are you okay?" I stop grabbing onto my hair to see Haley looking at me with a weird dopey look on her face.

I suddenly remember that I'm in English when I look at my lavender book. Yes I color coded my subject supplies. It's pretty normal if you ask me.

"Tamia!" My head snaps up to my name being called. Great. I snapped out of it again. "Are you okay?" Haley loses the weird amused look and it becomes serious and-. Worried?

Why would she be worried for? I mean we're friends but we wouldn't hang out after school kind of friends though.

"Yeah I'm fine," I lie through my teeth while looking at the white board to see Mrs. O'Donnell writing Macbeth on it.

She turns around to look at the class with her red mane up in a ponytail today.

"Okay class as you can see we're reading Macbeth, one of Shakespeare's tragedies-,"

After that I tuned her out because I could never get into the actual reading of Shakespeare's plays but I love the events. If that makes sense.

"Psst!" I look over to see Haley having her hand up to her mouth like a little girl that wants to tell a secret.

"What Haley?" I inwardly roll my eyes and then I feel bad because she's just worried about me. I put a smile on my face. 

She doesn't say anything but gives me a piece of paper and pulls out her big literature book to flip to the page on the board.

I look at the paper and her in confusion and notices that there's writing on the paper.

Seriously what's wrong? Is it Kevin?

I look up immediately to her to see her looking down at the book, oblivious to my shocked facial expression on her.

I look back at the paper and pull out my pen in my bookbag. I scribble something quick on it with thousand thoughts going across my mind.

Why do you ask about Kevin?

I tap her shoulder and gives her the paper when she looks up at me. She takes the paper and reads my response while biting on her pen.

She writes something back quickly while I tap my foot, anxious to see what she has to say. She gives it back with a sympathetic smile.

I look at her confusingly and look at what she wrote. My tapping foot stops immediately when I read her words in bubbly handwriting that makes me confused and hurt.

Well you know Kevin and I date right?

So many questions going through my mind. What?! Why didn't he tell me? Why is he dating her? Just why?

I inwardly shake my head at the questions that someone with a crush would ask. I freeze at what I just said. Crush?

Do I have a crush on Kevin? I mean my latest behavior wou-, no! I refuse to believe that. Wait that reminds me!

Doesn't Kevin like me? Isn't that why Brandon and him were fighting? I look over at Haley to see her with an expectant look on her face.

I bite on my lip scared to even think about them kissing, holding hands or just talking. What is going on?

I choose my words carefully and begin to smile but even an idiot would know that it's fake. "R-r-really?" Fuck Tamia! You would stutter!

She begins to shake her head with her eyes closed. Oh thank God! I pull out my book and puts it on my desk. I flip it to the pages happily.

She looks at me and her expression grows painful then devious. What?

"Yes, we date." No I refuse to believe it, I look at the old English words jumbling together because my vision is blurred. When Kevin confirms it then I'll believe it.

Let's just hope it's not true.

Kevin:

I wait outside of Haley and coincidentally okay not coincidentally Mia's class too. The door to their classtroom opens and Haley comes out.

I smile at my new friend or should I say girlfriend? To be honest, I rather not. She smiles back and walks over to me with her arms out.

I bring her close to me and she  leans up to my ear and whispers, "She knows."

She leans back down and look at me with piercing hazel eyes today. Does she wear contacts or?

I ignore her eyes and realize what she actually said. "She knows?" I whisper in a low voice and she nods and she turns around to look at something.

I look over her shoulder to see her looking at Mia who just came out the classroom who's giving me a blank look.

She walks over to me with her big purple book and notebook to match her book in her hands. Yes I know all about her subject color coding system. It's pretty bizarre and OCDish if you ask me.

"Hey Mia," I state calmly while bringing Haley into my side.

She looks at the embrace with wide chocolate eyes and looks away awkwardly. "Uh yeah, can I speak to you?"

"Babe can I?" I ask Haley and she smiles while playing with her ear.

"Yeah babe, I'll be right here," I let go of her and look back at Mia to see her looking at the patterned carpet of the hallway with a weird expression on her face.

Yes I think it's working! "C'mon Tamia," I try to act like I'm disinterested but we all know the real case here. She looks back up at me with confusion and a bit.of anger in her eyes.

"C'mon," she pulls on my wrist and stalks off down the hallway. I look back at Haley to give her a big smile and thumbs up because our plan is working!

She gives it back and I turn my head but when she thought I wasn't looking, her smile drops into a thin tight line.

Hold me close, don't let me go, I hope
Tell me now is not the end

(A/N: Hey guys! I hope this chapter wasn't really crap! I didn't know what to write like per usual ahaha.

Do you think the plan is working? What do you think Brandon is planning? Why do you think Tamia wants to talk to Kevin? Why is Haley suddenly starting to act weird? And no I mean the bad confusing weird.
