"Do you have the camera?"
"You bet." Mike pulled out his camera. Thomas peered over his shoulder at the video.
"Wait! Pause it!" Thomas yelled.
Mike paused it. It was a blurry frame of Thomas grinning. He pointed to the left of himself grinning. "There."
Mike looked but only saw the air vent. "There's nothing there."
"Look closer."
He looked closer and when he did, Mike saw the outline of a face. "Did you see it?" Thomas asked.
"Yeah but it probably was nothing.:
"Then lets go check."
The boys walked to the vent. Sure enough, the face was there, half-decomposed and all. "Okay, you proved your point.Now lets go back to the kitchen."
They were just about to leave when the face moved, eyes glowing. "You came back," it said.
Both Mike and Thomas made a run for the door but it slammed shut and locked. The dead body pushed off the bars and crawled out onto the floor. Then it stood up, rotted mouth in a grin. The boys were too paralyzed to scream.
"You came back."
