Kurt's POV
~

Blaine: You'll just have to give it to me tomorrow then. Do you think my food will be able to wait that long to see me again? It must miss me dearly.

I stiffed a laugh as I sat down on the park bench, typing out a response.

Me: Two days without seeing you? Hmm, I don't know if it will survive. I can barely go one day without seeing you ;)

Risky, but maybe he won't think too much about it.
I watched as I saw a little boy running around the field playing tag with his dad. I smiled slightly, maybe I'll give dad a call later. I haven't seen him in a while. I miss him.
Suddenly a large golden retriever ran up to me and placed his head on my lap.
Great, now I'm going to get doggie drool on my favorite jeans.
He picked his head up and placed it back down again, staring at me with huge puppy dog eyes.
"You remind me of Blaine." I said moving my hand to stroke the top of his head.

"You've seen his puppy dog eyes, now all you're going to do is compare him to dogs." I heard a voice say behind me.
I turned around to see Wes standing there with an empty dog leash in his hand. He moved next to me and plopped down on the seat.

"Lexi, girl, you alway run away to find strangers. Next time, find a hot single lady." He grabbed the dogs- Lexi's collar and buckled it into the leash.

"Hello to you too, Wes."

"Where's Blainey?"

"Home?"

"No he's not. Just went up there, bellboy said he left. I saw you here and figured he was here too."

"Nope. Just me.."

"Just sitting here attracting puppies?"

"I guess so." I laughed. Lexi whined as she lifted her head back up from my lap.

"Dinner time! I'll catch you around, Kurt! Might want to leave here, looks like it's about to pour!" Wes said as he started jogging away, Lexi running with him.

I looked up at the sky. Maybe I should get going, it does look like it's going to rain.
I walked back over to my car, the moment I got in, it started down pouring. It was raining so hard I couldn't even see out of my windshield. I might as well sit here until it lightens up a bit.
I unlocked my phone expecting there to be a message from Blaine.
Nothing.
I went back into our messages.

Me: Hope I didn't scare you off! :)

Good job, Kurt...
*buzz* *buzz*
"Dad calling"

"Hey dad." I answered, placing the phone to my ear.

"Hey Kiddo! How's it going?"

"It's good! I was actually about to call you. I'm stuck in my car waiting for this storm to pass by so I can drive home. How are you? How's Carole doing?"

"She's good! I'm good! We're good. So you're not home yet? Do you know when you will be?" He asked.

"Umm I'm not sure. It doesn't look like this rains clearing up any time soon. Why? Are you coming to New York?!"

"What? Oh no no. I just sent something over to your house and I wanted to know if you got it already or not."

"Oh.." I said with a frown.

"Sorry kiddo. But we'll see each other soon! One of us will come to visit another."

"Yeah, I know. I just... miss you, that's all."

"Me too, bud. So tell me about you day? What did you do?"

"I went to work, got done really early so I went out to coffee with one of my students and his friend. He needed help with translating. Then I came to the park and hug out for a little bit, I saw it was going to rain so I went back to my car and now here I am, talking to you."
