A Dangerous Situation

Bullets zipped back and forth the forest, ricocheting off the trees and through the bodies of a few of his comrades. Kogami remained low to the ground, scanning around for anyone in sight. Waiting for the enemy to circle around and try and flank them, Kogami sprinted to higher ground. Once he found a suitable place, he set his rifle up, cocking it downward to the forest floor, looking through the scope, exhaling slowly to stabilize himself before taking the shot. Kogami lined up the sights with his eye, bent his arm to avoid whiplash, and rested his his finger on the trigger. BANG.
He successfully successfully eradicated one of the enemy combatants but the fight was no where being close to being over, seeing as there were hundreds of not thousands of people on the opposing side, making their way through the trees and tall grass.
After days of endless combat, Kogami observed that there were fewer and fewer men with each passing day. He wasn't fazed by this since he did his best to remain unattached due to war being a thing of sacrifice and great loss. He had already seen so many cut down at his feet before. For Kogami, this was just another day. He hated being so cold but attachments in combat would only mess with his mental state further. That was a sacrifice Shinya was definitely not willing to make. Though, if he were able, he would do his best to make sure the ones who were alive would stay alive.

Today's situation was far more dangerous than anything Akane had encountered since Makishima and SEAUn.
Akane wobbled faintly as blood trickled down her arm. Her legs felt heavy like stone. The latent criminal they had encountered today was one by the name of Tokugane Shiba. Shiba had allegedly been charged with several accounts of drugging, raping, and eating five female citizens. He managed to evade the MWPSB by illegally hacking into the MWPSB's main database. Shion did everything in her power to try and block the hacks but to no avail. Now Akane had come face to face with the monster, fighting him with all her strength. She felt her blood boiling in her gains as she thought of how he managed to escape them and how she wasn't able to protect those young women from such a sick bastard. He had slashed her forearm with a small knife when she tried to corner him. She fell to her feet as more blood oozed out of the open wound. She felt her head starting to spin, slowly losing consciousness. Had she been drugged? The cut wasn't deep enough to had caused her any major blood loss but she still felt very queasy and exhausted from just one slash. She slowly began to close her eyes as she fell on the concrete with a loud THUD.
This caused Ginoza, Yayoi, and Hinakawa to whip their heads around and see there inspector passed out on the ground. Shiba licked his lips ferociously and slung the unconscious woman's body over his shoulder. Shimotsuki was up in the air, listening in on everything that was going on. Ginoza told her that Tsunemori was currently being taken hostage and that she needed to whip out the big gun once they corner him, and secure the premises.
Shimotsuki followed this up with a "I'm on it" and readied the weapon. A questionable smirk crept across the young woman's face as she hovered above them.
