Chapter 6

Roman knocked on AJ's door to check if she was okay. When no one answered he slightly opened the door to see Dean and AJ fast asleep cuddling. Roman couldn't help but feel worried. He couldn't tell if Dean was being sincere or just trying to get in her pants. He decided to talk to Seth since Seth had known Dean longer than Roman had. Seth was biting his nails on the couch blaming himself for everything.

Maybe if I hadn't assured her everything was okay she wouldn't be as hurt.

Seth thought to himself. He felt as though the whole situation was his fault and was trying to come up with a way to make it okay again. He was interrupted with the sound of Roman coming down the stairs. Seth stood up and asked if AJ was okay.

"She looks okay but I have something else to talk to you about," Seth and Roman sat down on the couch as Seth began to bite the inside of his cheek. "How long have you known Dean?"

"Oh uh about 4-5 years I think, why?" Seth was confused why Roman cared so much about how long they've known each other.

"Because I need help reading him. I can't tell if he genuinely cares about AJ and wants her to be okay and really likes her for her or if he's just trying to get into her pants," Seth sighs.

"I don't know that's what I've been trying to figure out too," Roman rubs his face.

"I want to trust him, I really do, it's just his history with girls I don't want AJ to get hurt again."

"I get it but I think we need to talk to him to get a real answer," Roman nods in agreement.

"When though?"

"Tomorrow the quicker the better."

Dean and AJ had stayed the next day just hanging out. So when Roman and Seth came to the house Dean and AJ were out and about. Seth and Roman had waited patiently rehearsing their approach that by the time Dean and AJ had come up they knew exactly what they were going to say in what order.

Dean and AJ had come home talking. It was like the day before didn't even happen and AJ was the same person before that day. Roman stood up and folded his arms.

"Where were you guys all day?" Roman asked tilting his head.

"I took her out to see around town. Since you guys just moved here and hadn't explored much I thought I'd show her around you know?" Dean replied smiling.

"Where'd you show her around?" Roman asked trying to read him.

"I showed her my favorite ice cream parlor and I took her out to the movies to hate watch a movie. It was great then I took her to the mall to look around see if she liked anything that she could go back for, all that good stuff. Oh but we also went out to eat at Denny's after," AJ nodded in agreement.

"It was so much fun we need to go to the ice cream parlor Roman it was so good," AJ said.

"We can go this weekend if you'd like," AJ nodded smiling.

"Come on Dean lets go up to my room," they were about to head up stairs when Roman stopped.

"We need to talk to Dean he'll be up in a sec," AJ gave a confused look before going upstairs. Once they paid their attention to Dean she slowly crept down to spy on them.

"What's up?" Dean asked sitting on the couch.

"Look Dean I've known you for a long time. I love you man, I trust you and you know this but, I have to ask you something that you're not gonna like," Seth said.

"Dude stop sugarcoating this be straight up man," Dean frowned.

"Do you actually like AJ or do you just want to get in her pants?" Seth asked. Dean showed no emotion.
