- Alliana's POV -
We figured out a time for the meeting. I had got together some people from the DA and Pansy. When I explained what happened they seemed to think I was over reacting. "How can you be sure that this is an actual problem and not just some over reaction?", I look at Ronald and frown. Why must he always be like this?
"I believe it is not an over reaction because the facts. Ex deatheaters have been disappearing and reappearing dead. When Draco and I went to Azkaban we returned with my memory blanked of most of that night and his mother missing. McGonagall wants to protect someone in Hufflepuff that is in danger. Draco is the only person I know of like that!"
"Not the only one.", I jerk my head at the sound and see both of my parents standing at the door. My eyes widen and my mother waves it off as if saying to wait for later. Confused I look at my father and wait for him to continue. "One thing we never told you - or at least remember telling you - is that we were close friends with Regulus Black. He was my best friend. Like him, I too became a deatheater and met your mother believing that since I am of the same bloodline as Tom then we should have the same beliefs. I was wrongly mistaken however. Regulus, soon learned of the plan Tom had created and despised it. It was no longer about beliefs, it was about immortality. Angry, we both set out to destroy the very things you and the other two ended up destroying for us. He was caught however, and killed. Terrified and with a new daughter, your mother and I, faked our deaths and went into hiding. You were born and we put you under the care of our other friends, The Grangers.", the room is silent. I had heard this story before but never quite like this.
"Alliana is not over reacting. When one has a dark mark, no matter how hard you try, one may not take it off. Ours are burning. Someone has woke them up. An evil force is brewing", oh man. This is way worse than I thought.
- 3RD PERSON POV -
The rest of the evening and the days after, the DA and more worked together in secrecy trying to not only form a plan to protect all of the ex deatheaters at Hogwarts but to also, learn all that they can about the situation. While some disagreed, and tried to get people to not help the deatheaters - Ronald and Harry - they soon gave in and became great help.
Days and then weeks went on like this. Alliana would claim to go study and instead go to the Room of Requirement. Every time, Draco asked to join her or would ask why she wasn't in the library, she would come up with an excuse. 'I have to protect him' was her only relief from the guilt encasing her. 'If he finds out he will endanger himself! It's for his own good!' Over and over again she would repeat this to herself in hopes of that making things right, unaware that she was only pushing him away. Unaware that he was just around the corner.
"He can't find out. If he finds out then everything will be for nothing. If he knows then we won't be able to this anymore. I'm sorry, Ron but this has to stay a secret!", Draco presses his back to the wall and sneaks a looks around the corner. Alliana is standing there talking to none other than the boy who broke her heart. Ronald Weasley.
"I'm just so scared. I can't keep doing this. Eventually, he us going to figure it out. He is more smart than you give him credit for.", she says to him. Instinctively, Draco backs up. Is she cheating on me? Is that what this is? He looks back around the corner and sees that Ron is now hugging her.
"It's okay, Alliana. We will figure this out. Don't worry.", heart broken Draco steps back and turns away. Silently, he quickly leaves the area tears beginning to go down his faces. How far is Alliana willing to go, to keep it a secret and how hard is Draco going to crash from this heart break?
Only Time can tell.
