A Merlin and Morgana Love - Story <3 - Part 8

I went down to the stables and Merlin was there it was late I didn't think anybody was going to be down there.  

"well Morgana what brings you here?" Merlin said 

"I'm leaving" I said 

"well are you?" he said with his goofy smile. 

I rolled my eyes 

"I'm going" I said 

"oh yeah and how are you going to ride a horse in your state" he said with a laugh, 

"ha I'll just get a carriage" I said 

"oh sure and how are you going to hook it up?" he asked 

"I'll get you yo do it because you wouldn't leave a lady in distress would you?" I said 

Merlin sighed but laughed as well, 

"I'll be right back" He said walking around to the back of the stables 

I smiled and then walked over to a horse and patted it on the nose.  Then I heard a big bang it came from the back of the stables were Merlin just went, I walked as quickly as I could in my state to the back to the stable, I was kind of worried 

"Merlin?" I called out 

Then I saw him pulling a small carriage out towards me 

"should this be alright?" He asked 

I smiled and he smiled back at me,  

"that should be fine" I said 

Merlin brought the cart around to the front of the stables and hooked up one of the horse to it.  

"there you go" he said dusting his hands off, 

I smiled "thank you Merlin" I said 

"that's alright" He said smiling 

Merlin helped me onto the front seat of the cart, I looked down at my baby bump and sighed a bit I notice Merlin looking at me. Then him coming and sitting on the other side of the front seat 

"what are you doing?" I asked 

"I am coming with you Morgana" he said 

"but why you told that you didn't love me" I said 

"but I do and I don't know what was wrong with me" he said 

"oh Merlin" I said putting my arms around him and then kissing him. He held me in his arms and broke the kiss 

"come on we better go quick before the sun raises" He said grabbing a hold of the reins and leading the horse into the forest.  

The forest was dark I felt like I was being watched I kept turning around to see if anything was there, 

"are you alright Morgana?" Merlin asked me 

I turned back towards the front to face him 

"I don't like the dark" I said 

Merlin held out one of his hands, I put my hand in his.  

"it's going to be fine Morgana" Merlin said 

We rode deeper and deeper into the forest at least the sun was rising now.  We came to the edge of a cliff in the forest it was looking down upon a village.  

"what we doing here?" I said 

"this is my home" he said 

I looked down at it seeing children playing in the streets, men and women working. 

"it's beautiful" I said turning but to Merlin he smiled.  

We rode down the bumpy cliff I held my stomach close to me, Merlin was trying to keep far from the edge. 

"it's going to okay Morgana I've done this a lot of times" he said with a laugh 

"well I haven't, and I will be fine when we are at the bottom of the cliff" I said, and Merlin just laughed.  

We got to the bottom to the cliff 

"well we made it out alive didn't we?" Merlin said smiling 

"ha-ha very funny" I said rolling my eyes 

"don't you roll your eyes at me young lady" Merlin said, I laughed "see I would make a just father" 

"yes you would" I said pulling him close and kissing him. Merlin broke the kiss 

"you ready to meet my mother?" Merlin asked 

I smiled "yes of course" I said 

We rode the down the street until we came to a small little house on the end of the village, Merlin hopped off the carriage and then helped me down.  Merlin knocked on the door.  A moment later a woman opened the door.  

"Merlin? Merlin! Oh it is soooo good to see you" she said hugging him, Merlin hugged her too. After a couple of seconds Merlin broke the hug and turned to me. 

"Mother this is Morgana" He said 

"oh well it is very nice to meet you dear" she said 

"it is nice to meet you too" I said with a smile 

"well you better come in" she said steping aside and letting me and Merlin come through.  

A fire was lit and something was cooking over it. It smelt nice, the house was small but nice.  

"so what brings you this far my lady?" she asked 

"oh no please just call me Morgana and I am....to have a baby soon" I said 

"yes I can see that" she said offering me a seat which I took and Merlin sat across from me smiling as if he were a little boy. 

"so how after along are you?" Merlin's mother asked 

"Gaius said any day now" I said 

"that's excting" she said with a smile although she didn't seem happy about it. 

"is something wrong?" I asked her 

"oh no my dear, why don't you get some rest dear you'll need it" she said 

After that I felt my eye start to shut slowly I was tried it had been a long journey for me, but I still wanted to know why Merlin's mother seemed mad at me.  

"have a good sleep" I heard Merlin say and then sleep took me in.
