Alex's Pov

We were walking through the forest with the dead bodies and I couldn't stand the smell.

"Y/n how can you stand this awful smell, holy shit!" I said backing away.

"I've done this multiple times already." She said slightly smiling.

"Guys! There's a house there!" Camila said pointing at the building.

"Hey let's check it out, there might be survivors!" Dinah said and we sped up towards the house.

Once we were in front of it we dropped the dead bodies and chopped their heads off.
We knocked the door.

"Hello? Anybody?!" I said, but no response.

"I don't think anyone lives here, it's too op-"

The door swung open revealing a dark skinned girl with a sledgehammer.

"WOAH WOAH! Calm down Miley Cyrus! We're looking for help!" Y/n said and the girl put the hammer down.

She was looking at the girls, the girls were doing the same, then all of a sudden Dinah crushed her body onto the girl...that's making me feel some type of way.

"OH MY FUCKING GOSH MANI! How did you-I fucking missed you!" She said and the other two joined, my sister and I awkwardly stood there.

"Y/n! Alex! This is Normani, our friend!" Camila said and we shook her hand.

"Nice to meet you Normani." We said.

"Mani where were you?" Lauren asked shocked.

"I drove away from the city, I read that the military prepared a safe zone for the people that managed to survive." She said and I looked at her interested.

"Where is that place precisely?" I asked while I crossed my arms.

"They said it was towards Atlanta." She said.

"That's quite far...if we had to walk we'd take almost forever, but it might be worth it for y'all." Y/n said making my eyebrows furrow.

"What do you mean?" I asked.
She sighed.

"I mean that it would take forever since we will have to smash some skulls before getting to safety."
She said and everyone nodded.

"That's not what I me-"

"How long have you been here?" Y/n asked ignoring what I was about to say.

"I got here this morning, the road was all closed off and the car broke down." Normani answered.

"We might be able to fix the car, where did you leave it?" Y/n said attentive.

"Could you!? I mean it's pretty far from where I came from, it's at the very end of the road over there!" She said pointing back at the road.

"Shit...I'll have to go back. Is this house safe?" She questioned.

"I don't know, I was just hiding in a room and I didn't look around." The gorgeous dark skinned girl said.

"Ok, ladies, Alex...let's go analyze this place, then we'll barricade it if needed." She said stepping in the house with the girls.

"Are we planning on staying?" Camila asked.

"I don't know, it depends in what condition is the car...it might take longer or maybe not, but just in case we're going to make sure you ladies stay safe." She answered, I love how a gentlewoman she grew up.

Camila gave her a warm smile and Y/n exchanged.

We all started walking around the small house.

"Hey Y/nN (nickname)! Upstairs?" I asked and she nodded.

We arrived at the corridor and the floor was squeaking.

"Let's split." She said and I went to a different room.

Y/n's Pov

I walked in a bedroom and I stepped on a teddy bear, I picked it up and smiled for a few seconds then my eyes landed on a crib, I walk over it and frown, I then lay the teddy on the little mattress.

"You just got here...and then this bullshit happens..." I whispered.
I then start gazing around the room filled with toys.
I saw a a picture laying on the floor with shattered glass, I wipe the broken glass and pick the photo up.

There was only a mother and a baby, it looks like the other piece was ripped off, assuming the manly hands something happened between them...I put the picture on the shelf and kept looking.
I walked out and I heard a loud scream coming from downstairs, Alex came out confused and we ran downstairs.

Lauren was trying to not cry while Dinah was holding her.

The other two looked at us, we walked a bit closer and saw a small figure, I sigh sadly. Alex let the girls walk back in the living room and I crouch in front of the baby shaking my head.

"Fuck man..." I said and decided to pick him up, I grabbed a towel since I was in the bathroom and wrapped him up and walked outside, the girls were still shook sitting on the couch and Alex followed me.

We were outside and I grabbed a shovel that was just in front of the door, the mother probably used it to defend herself since if was full of blood.

"Do you think his parents might be around the house still?" He asked as we stopped at one point.

"I don't know, but we should check...don't want other tears coming..." I said and give the lifeless body to Alex and started digging.
