Honesty Caused Trouble

Didn't our parents tell us not to lie? Well, mine did. And it became a habit.

If I lie, I get nervous and start doing very suspicious things. Though that's all in the past. I am a pro now, and that is quite disappointing.

One day, me, my brother and our 3 cousins played a game kind of like "acting innocent" to get away from the game's punishment.

First we cut 5 small pieces of paper and write "Criminal", "Judge", "King", "Detective" and "Suspect" on each a different word. After that we close the papers and we shuffle, then when each one's role is given we start acting out the scene.

The Judge would start the game by saying: "Suspects raise your hands" so both Criminal and Suspect raise their hands.

Then Judge would ask who's The Detective then the detective would announce himself. The Judge would start asking both suspects questions about the crime and each have to answer with anything that pops into their heads.

Example:
Judge: What's your name?
Suspect: John (not real name)
Judge: Why did you kill Jake?
Suspect: I don't know who's Jake.
Judge: What did you do during the murder time?
Suspect: Watch TV.
Judge: What weapon did you use?
Syspect: Tooth brush.
Judge: Did you kill him?
Suspect: Yes (He would say by accident or on purpose)

Of course the Judge would try to confuse the suspect but I don't have any example in mind sorry.

Now after this short interrogation, the Judge would ask The Detective:
Who is The murderer(it's not always a murder crime). The Detective had to observe The Suspects' mood and acting during The Judge's questions then catch the criminal.

If he gets it right, the criminal would receive the punishment, however if he gets it wrong he will receive the punishment himself.

Here, The King's time to shine. The King is the luckiest during this game, because he decides the punishment and if he is friends with the criminal (out of the games) he usually gives the criminal a light punishment like "one slap on cheek" or "wash your face with cold ice water". Severe punishment would go as far as "Twerk in front of an adult" or "Show then hide your tummy 3 times next to 'Someone out of the game's name' and act chill about it".

Basically I was criminal and looked really nervous so I got caught and the king was my least favorite cousin who ended up giving me a harsh punishment, "go outside without a jacket" while it was -4C° outside.

I had a fever the next day.

(Sorry about this chapt, it was more of an explanation than the moment itself really)
