Before we got married

Five days before Christmas

\Ross' POV

I woke up by myself in bed, I don't hear the shower running plus the door is open, I get up and look in her closet, she's not there ether I hear talking downstairs, I put on my sweats and walk downstairs. I walked into the living room to see my mom, Rydel, Brandi, Alexa, Savannah, and Laura. What are they doing here?

Ross: Um hi?

Laura: Hey babe.

Ross: What's going on here?

Laura: Trying to decide where Christmas day and dinner is going to be.

Ross: Okay.

I hold my head how much did I drink last night, I start to feel dizzy. Laura must have notice and because she got up from the couch and grabbed a hold of my arm.

Laura: Honey? Are you okay?

Ross: How much did I drink last night?

Laura: Ross you didn't drink anything last night.

Ross: Then why do I have huge headache and I feel dizzy.

Laura: Come on Ross lets lay down okay.

The girls move off the couch and I lay down, Laura gets a thermometer and takes my temperature. She calls mom over to take a look and mom and her whisper, I try to listen but I slowly fall asleep,

Laura's POV

Ross came downstairs and looked pale but I thought it was just the light but then he looked dizzy and he was holding his head so I went up to him and he asked how much he drink, but he didn't drink anything last night because we went to bed early since we worked all day yesterday. I told him he should lay down and I went to get the thermometer, I came back and took it, when it should me his temp I got worried because it was over 100 degrees I asked momma Storms what I should do but I looked over at Ross and he was completely passed out. I walked over to him and tried to wake him up but he didn't budge I got worried and called the hospital and told them what's going on and they told me that a ambulance was on its way. I told momma and the rest that an ambulance was on its way to pick up Ross to take him to the hospital, they called the other boys and said that they would meet me at the hospital. They left to go to the hospital, the ambulance came and took Ross in the ambulance and I went with them. The paramedic asked what happened to him and what his name was and how old he was, I told him everything and the pull in the emergency entrance and took Ross out into the hospital, I got out and went into the waiting room with the rest of the family, I sat down in a chair, facing them. I was calm all this time but now I feel scared and worried that something bad was going to happen. I looked down at the white tile floors and felt tears fall down my face.

Its been a few hours and no one has come out to tell us anything everyone was worried. We were the only people in the waiting room I got up and started pacing, I soon just dropped to the floor and broke down crying, Riker and Rydel go up and tried to calm me down but I couldn't I just sat in a corner of the waiting room and cried the doctor came in and told us that Ross had a fever and they had to put him a coma with ice packs all around him to take his temperature down, the doctor told us what room he was in and left the room, I didn't move I just sat there, everyone looked at me Riker picked me up and we all walked into the room. I just stared at Ross' body, Riker sat me in a chair next to him all I could do was just stare, tears rolled down my face and couldn't move. Momma Storms went on the other side of Ross and mark was beside her, Rocky and Alexa was next to them, and then Ryland and Savannah next to them, and beside them was Riker and Brandi they left the kids with the neighbors, and Rydel sat next to me and Ratliff. No one was speaking everyone was just staring.  The doctor came in and checked on him and Stormie asked him when Ross would wake up and they said days, weeks, months, possibly years. I just start crying what if I won't see Ross in years, His eyes, his smile, hearing his laugh, everything about him. Rydel hugs me and lay my head on her shoulder, she kept saying it was going to be okay, but I don't if it was or not, everyone went to go get lunch and left me to have some time with him alone, I sat still and just stared. They came back and brought me something to eat but I didn't eat it, We just sat there waiting and waiting. The nurse came in and said that visiting hours were over and that one person can stay everyone said that it should be me so I stayed in the chair, the nurse brought me a blanket and a pillow, She left and I just sat there staring I soon fell asleep as I held his cold yet still warm hand.

(next morning)

I woke up and looked up to see Rydel sitting on the couch and she had a bag. She look at me and gave me the bag, I looked inside and saw that there was clothes in the bag. I got up and changed in the bathroom. After I got changed I sat back down where I was, Rydel was gone, and I just stared waiting for him to wake up, few short hours later the doctor came in and checked on everything then left with out saying a word. It was about 12:45 and the our family came back in, and they told him to wake up and that we are waiting for him, but still the same didn't move, they brought me lunch again and left to go on with there lives but they are still worried I get it I would be the same but this is the love of my life and I couldn't bring myself to leave him, I down want him to be alone, or feel alone. I wish he would just wake up and hold me, kiss me, hug me, and say I love you, to wake up to his beautiful face in the morning, to hear his laugh, to look at his smile, to look in his eyes. I need him to wake up and be with me so we can go house and be a family with our puppy, oh my god Velvet! I text Rydel and asked her to feed he and take him over to her house if she can, because that would be helpful and I'm not going home until Ross wake up. It becomes night time again and I go to sleep holding his hand hopefully he will wake up the next day.
