It's been awhile, but enjoy guys. :))

"You all are incredibly dedicated to this job. Even those of you who have just begun to work here," Malia, the head of the department, shoots her russet brown eyes at me. I lean back in my chair, my back quite comfortable sinking into the leather, smiling back at her until I receive the same response.

"Cheryl is really dedicated," Kevin speaks up before I look at him taking his solid red tie off.

She begins to speak again, this time to all of us, on where there are few problems here, on how we conduct ourselves, and how we convey ourselves to the students who are in need of counseling from us. The only major problem is that we talk to students I suppose to fast and that's why we never have anything to do for a large majority of the day. So we begin to sit around until five o'clock.

I don't see that as a problem really, I've gotten to know a lot of my coworkers a lot more because of the extra time on our hands. We even get projects done faster which are of better quality.

My eyes wander out of the window causing me to become completely shocked, since I forgot that it was actually night time. The sky is no longer that cliche shade of blue and the sun is no longer hiding behind moving fluffy clouds.

It's a tad bit dark in here, but there is a small ray of light that beams in from the stars that are twinkling against the darkness, that is the midnight blue colored sky. The bright stars are in contrast to the darkness of the night but it doesn't matter because when I gaze at them, all I can think about is Kimberley and her theory and that makes my lips curl into a smile.

She certainly has a way words and her words have definitely affected me in every way possible.

"Meeting over guys. Get home safe please," Malia squeaks as I stay in my seat to pull my backpack up from underneath the glass table that we were all sitting at. For some reason, I still feel like a student, since I have the need to still carry around a backpack.

The backpack is now on my back as I begin to walk out of the office then down four flights of stairs. I walk out into the darkness and the frigid temperature. If anything, a night in November in Washington state is guaranteed to be an unforgettable cold one.

The campus is lifeless at night as I walk on the beige cement path that connects nearly every major building. The library, the admissions office, all of the major department buildings. But I use it as a shortcut to the parking lot, walking over the usual vibrant green grass that has become dim from the night.

I reach my azure blue car, opening the door to throw my bag in but I have a feeling to turn around for some odd reason.

So I do.

Looking around, I don't see anything that stands out too much that should gain any attention from
me. There's seriously no one here to cause any problems.

I don't turn around, I stare a little harder, practically looking through the thin leaves of a tree to see that someone was walking towards me, but not with the intention of interacting with me.

As they got closer, I lean on my car, squinting my eyes when I realize that it has been the girl that has replaced my boring thoughts with intriguing ones about her.

Thoughts that I can't seem to shake off.

Of course, she speaks to me first before I can say anything.

"Cheryl? What are you doing here? It's a little after eight," Kimberley says now skipping my way. Her fingers tug on the thin burgundy pullover she has on.

"I had a meeting."

"Did it go well?"

"Yeah pretty well. It's a monthly meeting so nothing I didn't expect. What are you doing here?"
