It appears that the girls did take my suggestion of going to the park seriously as that's where we are heading early this morning. They figured I can clear my head with me now rebuilding my relationship with Eli. But I didn't want to go hiking at five in the morning with them.

Days off are supposed to mean rest.

I'm no longer asleep but my eyelids will not part as my head rests against the window.

I couldn't tell what stop we had to make now because I've felt the car stop six times since we've all gotten inside. I'm not even sure if Kimberley was inside the car.

The car stops one more time, the final time, and I don't move until I hear the other three doors open.

My mouth stretches out as I emit a yawn before my head leans back on the headrest. I instantly find myself getting more comfortable as the car is no longer in motion but all of that goes away quickly.

I begin to groan as I struggle to unbuckle my seatbelt. But before I could actually get it done, I hear my door open. My eyes immediately open to see that Kimberley is leaning over me with intentions of freeing me from the car.

"Nice to see you're up Chezzie," Kimberley says to me as her face is inches away from mine. I know I'm still tired but it still feels like a dream as her plump lips curl into a smile. "Come on."

Kimberley puts her hands under my arms to pull me out as if I was a child and I don't get upset at it. I'm barely awake so I'm sure I can barely walk.

"Aww Kimberley you should've left her there," Nic says making sure I can see her smiling at me playfully. I do manage to roll my eyes at her.

Being out in nature is always something that relaxes me so I know today would be a great one.

The five us wonder through the forest practically composed of all redwood trees. They are enormous, blocking any source of light that begins to take over as the night transitions to day. I know the only reason that we are here this early is to hike to one of the highest peaks to gaze at the sun rise in such a raw fashion.

I still lean onto Kimberley as my eyes fight to stay open, but she doesn't seem to mind as she is engaged in a conversation with my ridiculous friends.

"Is it wrong to hike for like an hour and a half then drive back down?" Nic asks as I groan lightly.

"Why would you drive back down, that defeats the purpose?" Kimberley asks before Nicola groans now.

"Yeah Nicola. Doesn't make sense."

"Did I ask you Sarah?"

"Don't say stupid things out loud. Leave them in your mind."

"Okay guys come on," Nadine immediately tries to play the role of a peacemaker but they continue on anyway.

At this point my eyes open a little more. I find myself staring at the backs of Nadine, Sarah and Nicola as they all begin to walk ahead a little more continuing that conversation.

"Okay but if you hike up there, how would you drive back down if your car is where you left it?" Sarah asks as Nadine looks as her.

I'm glad that Kimberley slows down just a little because I don't believe we should participate in that conversation.

I gaze at the stars that are still twinkling in the sky that aren't being blocked by the trees as they rest against the dark, indigo sky that is beginning to fade away slowly.
