****JUST A WARNING THIS WILL BE A LITTLE BIT LONG, BUT ENJOY!!****
"Wait a second. Back up!" Gwen shrieks as she starts taking down my hair. "You're going on a date with JJ Watt?!?! As in Superbowl MVP JJ Watt?!?!"
"It's not a date. We're just getting dinner." I respond.
"With others?" she questions.
"No. Just the two of us."
"Oh Babydoll, that's called a date!" she smirks.
"No it's not!"
"Yes it is!" I hear Kyla yell from the hall.
"When was the last time you even went on a date?" Gwen jokes.
"It's...been a while." I lie.
"Bitch please!!" Angie yells. "She hasn't been on a date in forever! Since she broke up with Zach! Don't even get me started on how long it's been since she's gotten laid."
Both Kyla and Gwen gasp while I shoot Angie the death stare. When I did The Real World, I started dating one of my roommates, Zach. After the show ended, we continued to date until I left for London to shoot my first film One Last Time. He kept seeing pictures of me hanging out with my co-star Kit Harington, he started accusing me of cheating (which I wasn't) and it got to a point where I had no choice but to end the relationship. I came to find out later that the son of a bitch had been cheating on me since I left. Ever since I threw myself into my work and just avoided dating altogether.
"You know it really doesn't matter if it is a date or isn't cause I'm pretty sure he has a girlfriend! So can we please get back to taking my hair down?" I angrily ask.
"Uh huh whatever." She continues to take my hair down and put tiny barrel waves in it. I check my phone for the time; 7:25. The minute the ESPY's let out, I exchanged numbers with JJ, and then Angie and I were in the limo and sped back to the hotel. With only an hour to get ready, Once Gwen had finished with my hair, I sprang from the chair and began looking for something to wear. I wanted to wear something that was comfortable but didn't make me look like a slob. Unfortunately, everything I had packed seemed either too fancy or too lazy. I started to panic. Why was I so nervous? It's not like it was a date. Was it?
I guess Angie could see the panic in my face and began to pull clothes from the hotel closet.
"Here, what about this?" Angie asks as she tosses me a plaid dark blue shirt.
"Plaid?" I ask curiously.
"Well, it's comfy. Plus, I looked up his favorite color. It's blue." she smirks.
I smile up at her. "Perfect." I grab the shirt and put it over a gray v-neck t-shirt I was already wearing along with a pair of light blue faded jeans and a pair of black open-toe ankle boots. I would have normally worn my Chuck Taylors, but I'm short enough as it is. Seeing that JJ was roughly 6'4 I would like at least a little bit of height. I finished the look off with my gold Texas pendant necklace I always wore and a pair of earring studs. I grab my phone to check the time once more; 7:47. By the time I was fully dressed, Lexa had come in to take the jewelry while Gwen and Kyla were on their way out. Confused as to why I was rushing, Angie explained to her what was going on.
Chime. I grab my phone to see a text from JJ.
Hey. Just making sure this is your number. I'm on my way. Should be there in 15.
Yea it's me. Almost ready. Meet me down in the valet garage. I text back smiling like a fool.
Take your time. I'll see you soon.
