My alarm goes off and basically screams at me to get up. I chuck my pillow at it then bury myself back in my warm blankets. But that didn't last for long.

"Parker, it's your first day of school! Get up you only got 30 minutes to get ready!" Dad pulls back my blankets. I groan at the coldness of the air.

"I change my mind. I wanna stay in bed all day." I say into my pillow.

"To late cupcake, you're already enrolled."

I groan and push myself off of the bed.

"Happy?" I ask.

"Yes, now get ready, come downstairs when you're done. I'm making breakfast."

"Okay." I say getting up. He leaves and as soon as he shuts the door, I get back into bed. I set my alarm for 5 minutes then go back to sleep.

After those extra 5 minutes, I reluctantly get out of bed. I get my clothes out of the closet and go take a quick shower. After the shower, I get dressed into black skinny jeans, my gray tee shirt with Captain America's shield on it, and a black and red flannel over that. I pull on my red converse and put my hair in a single braid down my back.

My anxiety kicks in and suddenly I really don't want to go.

I take a deep breath and look in the mirror. This is it. I can do this. It's just for a few months, I can do this. Just think about the last first day of school.

***Flashback***

"Bucky, please don't make me go!" I plead with the brown haired man.

"I'm sorry, but you have to. It's Spiderman and Hawkeye's fault; Iron man and I would have been happy to homeschool you, but they wouldn't have it."

I pull out the big guns, the puppy dog eyes.

"You know that that doesn't work on me."

I hug onto his neck for dear life as he takes me into class, where the teacher troll lived.

~~~~End of Flash Back~~~~
Why do I remember all that?
I shrug it off ,and go downstairs to see dad putting two pancakes on a plate and 4 on the other.
"You ready for school?" He asks, setting down my plate of pancakes.
"Nope, but I don't have a choice." I say taking a bite out of my pancakes.
We finish eating quickly and put our dishes in the sink. I grab my backpack and lunch then head out the door.
On the way to school, we listen to music and I try to calm my rising anxiety.
"You'll be okay." He assures me when we pull up to the building about 15 minutes before the school doors officially open. Not many kids are here yet.
"Pete will pick you up today, okay?" I nod.
We walk into the school ,and we're immediately greeted by the headmistress.
"Welcome Mr. Hurley, Parker. I'm Mrs. Rivers." She says shaking dad's hand. She's a 50ish year old woman wearing a blue suit and her blonde hair is pulled into a tight bun.
"Mr. Hurley, I just need you to sign the last few papers, then I'll have a guide show Parker around the school." She said with a smile. It looks fake but whatever.
