This chapter's very short, I apologize . Another chapter coming soon.

Could Christmas break be any further away? I groaned as I collapsed on my bed. Yes, it may have only been the first week of school, but I've gotten so tired of Katherine already. She's such a bitch- excuse my French.

Jasper was on FaceTime with me at the moment. We are discussing homework- and by discussing I mean agreeing to get answers from Nathan. The Latino boy always says that we need to do our own work- and we do- it's just that it's usually wrong.

"Parker!" Grayson shouts as he enters my room. Without permission, mind you. Ugh, brothers, you can't get rid of them.

"Andy wants us downstairs. " He grins so sickly sweet and runs out of the room. He leaves the door open. Gosh, has uncle Brendon taught you anything?

I quickly get off the phone with Jasper, promising to call him back later. I adjusted my shirt I had on to make it look less wrinkled.  I'm starting to wonder why Dad would need us in the first place. We hadn't done anything bad recently- right? I think back to the most recent events. Nope, nothing that would warrant punishment.

Dad was sitting on the couch (looking rather uncomfortable, may I add.) Grayson didn't seem to know the reason we were down here either. I sit on the chair opposite of the males. It takes a second before Grayson decides to speak up.

"Why did you call us down here?"

Dad shifts uncomfortably. "So, I thought it was a pretty good time to start this conversation. I've been meaning to talk to you about it for a while."

What could this be about? Does dad have a girlfriend? Is he letting us go live with Uncle Jared? Is he giving us back up for adoption? My mind goes directly to the worst case scenarios.

"When two people love each other very much-"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That was the longest hour of my life. I don't know what to think anymore. I've learned so much. And that's just nasty.
 I'm very uncomfortable. I can tell Grayson is too. Dad is also. It's just a huge uncomfortable-fest.
Dad breaks the silence, "So, pizza?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A Chicago-Style pizza does help break the ice. We're having 'family time' as Dad calls it. Talking now makes me realize what I'd been missing for a majority of my life. A loving father. An annoying brother. And a pepperoni pizza. Perfection. Sheer, unfiltered perfection.

It makes me realize how little time we've had for each other. We've all been so busy caught up in our lives that we forgot about the important things, like this.

This feeling.

This feeling of immortal happiness and joy.

The feeling you get as you watch your older brother do impressions for you to guess.

That feeling you get whenever your dad swoops you in his arms.

That feeling that leaves all too soon.

But of course, this feeling would leave sooner than expected. The next few months of my life will continue to get worse and worse. What's worse than getting hit with a bullet, you ask?

Well, you'll just have to read to find out, wont you.
