3. How things are but what are they meant to be?

Rain's POV

I straddled Brody's lap while we were on his bed.

I started thinking about both the twins. How they were the sweetest guys at some times but total jerks at other times. It was mainly Brody that became all moody and pissy.

I looked around Brody's amazing room and just knew this room was made for him. His walls were all a dark blue colour but his bed sheets were velvet red.

He had photographs of beautiful wolves all over his walls.

Brody rested his head in the crook of my neck and squeezed me tighter than he had before.

"What are you gonna do when you're older Rain? You gonna run the hotel with me?"

"I'm gonna travel the world. I just wanna get out of here. Run away ya know?" I said dreamily.

"Sometimes I just wanna get out of here too but it's never going to happen"

"It can happen though Brody. Let's run away together. Me and you. We could go anywhere. Do anything"

"You know we can't do that though Rain"

"Why not?"

"I have to take care of the hotel Rain. It's not something I can just throw away"

"Fine then I will go explore on my own then"

"You won't be going anywhere. You will be staying here. You can't leave"

"You can't make my decisions for me Brody. You aren't my boyfriend"

"You aren't going anywhere and that's final!" He roared.

I spat in his face and ran up to my room. Who did he think he was telling me what I can and can't do.

I slammed the door just to let him know that I was angry and sat on my window bench.

Brody's POV

I knew that Rain was angry but I don't really know why. I was her mate and the future Luna of this pack and she had to do her job and stay here and protect everyone from dangers.

I wiped my face from where she spat on me and ran out of the pack house. I needed to get out of the house so my wolf could come out and have a run. He was angry that his mate was being disrespectful.

I shifted into my golden wolf and sprinted off into the woods. I tried to focus on clearing my head but Rain kept popping up. I just couldn't get her out of my head.

Her beautiful purple hair and her perfect eyes, even though she keeps them covered most of the time they are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Her beautiful figure. I have told her so many times that she needs to gain a bit of weight and I always stuff it up because she takes it the wrong way.

I always stuff everything up. It's not fair. I just want to be with my mate. I know that if I could just tell her the truth that everything would be different and she would be in my arms at all times.

Jace's POV

I knew that Rain and Brody had ditched school and that made me so mad. I do everything for her to make her happy and all she does is ditch me for Brody. The guy who never treats her the way that she should.

'Mate upset. Go to mate' My wolf Jude cried out.

I growled and mind linked the teacher saying I was leaving.

I rushed to the pack house and went up to her room to find her sobbing on the bed.

I sprinted to her and cradled her into my arms.

"Shh baby girl. Calm down. Everything's okay"

"If I wanted to leave... Would you let me leave?" She sobbed.

"I would never want you to leave without me because I love ya to much but if that's what you wanted to do.. Then I'd have to let you go"

"I love you too Jace"

You don't understand how badly I wanted to tell her in that moment, everything that I'm keeping from her. Tell her all about me, my family, her family and everyone in the pack but I know that I couldn't... Just yet.

I have been waiting 5 years to tell her everything and once I do, there is no way I am letting her go. I have waited 5 years to kiss her everyday, to claim her as my own, to mate with her, to hold her in my arms but most importantly, tell her that I love her in more than a friend way.

It's how it was meant to be. The moon goddess made Rain mine and Brody's mate for a reason. She is meant to know everything. It was destiny. It was fate for our best friend to be our mate.
