14. Werewolf

Jace's POV

Oh no.. What have we done. We have just shown Rain the secret... I looked over at her and she was unconscious on the ground.

I quickly shifted back and ran to her.

"I'm so sorry beautiful"

I picked her up and ran her to the pack doctor.

Rain was due to wake up any second now. She's been unconscious for an hour and a half now. Brodie and I were by her side but I know it wasn't gonna be the same when she woke up.

Her eyes fluttered open and when she saw us she screamed bloody murder.

"Get away from me.. Both of you... You... You monsters" she cried.

Brodie and I looked at each other and we whimpered like little puppies.

As we started to leave her parents ran into the room.

Rain's POV

What was going on? They were monsters. Was this the secret they were keeping from me? Did anyone else know? How did this happen? I had so many questions but no answers.

"Oh we are so sorry Rain. We never wanted you to get hurt" my parents said rushing into the room.

"You have to kill Brodie and Jace! They are wolves! They are monsters" I cried out.

"I guess you are calling everyone in the hotel monsters then" my dad said with a chuckle.

"What are you saying?" I asked.

"Rain.. Everyone in the hotel are wolves. I am a wolf. Your mother is a wolf. Your sister is a wolf. Everyone here is a wolf"

"Why aren't I a wolf?" I asked. "If everyone is a wolf. Why aren't I a wolf"

"We don't know" mum answered with her head down. "We knew when you were born that you weren't a wolf. We couldn't smell wolf in you. We could only smell human and we didn't know why. We didn't want to bring you into this. Into this horrible world. But since Brodie and Jace..."

She stopped and didn't say anything else like that wasn't her story to tell.

"What mum? Brodie and Jace what?"

"They'll have to tell you that"

"I'm never speaking to them again. Why didn't they tell me"

"We didn't want them to tell you. Not until we knew you were ready for it. You weren't ready but I guess what happened.. Happened" dad spoke.

I hopped up from my bed and started to walk out of the room.

"Rain where are you going?" Mum asked.

"Away from you guys" I said in disappointment. They lied to me my whole life.

As I was walking to my bedroom I bumped into Conor.

"Conor where did you go? When you ran out?"

He looked at me and then down at his feet and I realised.. He was the wolf.

"No... No... Not you too"

"I'm sorry Rain. Brodie and Jace threatened to kick me out of the pack if I told you anything"

"What's a pack? Actually no don't worry I don't want to know. I need to get out of here"

He left me be to go do what I needed to do.
