"How are my two favorite women?" Shawn asked happily as he peeked his head inside the Matthew's apartment. My family was staying here while the Matthews were on vacation.

"Hungry!" I spoke up from my place at the table. "Now get in here so we can eat!" I joked.

Shawn gave me a jokingly, pointed look and dropped his bag at the front door before joining me and my mom. My mother had fixed us our favorite meals and brought them home from the dinner.  I had a tuna melt, and so did Shawn. My mother had made herself a salad. She was trying hard to watch her weight. Probably to impress Shawn, I thought.

"Hi babe," My mom smiled at him. "How was your day?"

"It was good!" Shawn smiled. "I got some amazing shots of central park."

"That's great." I sighed, still feeling down.

Shawn noticed and looked from me to my mother and then back to me.

"What's got you hung up?" Shawn asked.

I shrugged. I knew what it was but I didn't feel like explaining it.

"She misses Riley." My mother saved me.

"I'm sorry kiddo." Shawn rubbed my back and then focused back on his food.

We finished our meal in silence. Afterwards Shawna and my mother began watching television in the living room. I excused myself and retreated to Riley's bathroom where I took a shower, brushed my hair and teeth, then got dressed into my pajamas.

"Goodnight!" I called to my parents from Riley's doorway.

"It's still early." Shawn complained.

"I know. But I'm really tired."

"Okay, goodnight." They said together.

I closed Riley's door and jumped into her bed. I curled up under her blankets and turned on my phone. They'd be landing in London In less than an hour.

a message popped up on the top of my screen.

Farkle: I'm sure they'll be okay. I think it's just that we've never been an ocean apart.

Maya: You're probably right.

Farkle: I think the biggest worry we should have is her keeping track of all her luggage.

Maya: Or getting distracted and wandering away.

Farkle: Okay now you're scaring me again.

Maya: No kidding! I'm scaring myself!

Farkle: Let's talk about something else then.

Maya: What do you propose?

Farkle: Have you heard from Lucas and Zay?

Maya: Not since yesterday.

Farkle: Me neither.

Maya: Texas must be more interesting than us.  XP

Farkle: I don't know how that's possible! We're so weird!

Maya: Especially you! HAHA! Farkle, Kng of Weird!

Farkle: Ha Ha very funny! Short stack of pancakes!

Maya: Hey, that's not funny!

Farkle: Neither is being called the king of weird. lol

Maya: Touche!

I surrendered. Another message showed up at the top of my screen.

Riley: Just landed. I'm so sick! X[

My spirits rose. She was safe on land.

Maya: Aww Riles I'm sorry. But I'm glad you made it safe.

Riley: Thanks Peaches. How's my bed treating you?

Maya: Very nice! XD It says it misses you though.

Riley: Aww sweet bed I miss you too. <3

Maya: HAHAXD

Riley: Dude! Our hotel is literally across the street from the airport and I can see it from where we're waiting for our luggage. It's torture. I know it's right there and I just want to be out of this place and in a nice bed but they wont give us our bags. D,X

Maya: I'm sorry. I'd let you go.

Riley: I know you would and that's why you're my favorite.

Maya: Honey, I'm your favorite?!

Riley: Oh like you didn't know!

Maya: XP

Riley: Maya! You'll never guess what I just saw!

Maya: A lion in the streets?

Riley:...no...But I saw this cutie!

But I saw this cutie!

Maya:...Did you take a picture of a random guy?

Riley: Not just any random guy, a CUTE random guy!

Maya: XD Riley who could not love you!?

Riley: I love you too Peaches.

Maya: <3 It's late here and I'm kind of tired. Have a good night.

Riley: You too, sweet dreams!

I stared at her second to last message a moment before turning my phone off and setting it on the dresser in front of the picture of me and Riley. I could not help the smile that crept onto my face as I thought of my friend. I laughed after remembering she had taken a photo of a boy at the airport. She was so quirky and random. I loved that about her.

It was hard for me to think of something I didn't love about that girl. Again the question crossed my mind. Who could not love her?!
