Martyr and his group went their separate ways from me and Loliana, who decided to sneak around to the closest place to the entrance. Loliana still seemed as if she didn't like the idea of human kids helping us out on our mission, but it's something I'd expect from her.
Loliana has a strong sense of pride in her own abilities, and if she thinks she can handle something herself she will reject any and all assistance unless... well, someone "persuades" her to get help from others. And as it obviously stands now, there is no way I'm letting her reject a little help.
"Do you honestly think those kids can pull it off?" She asked, eyeing the door which was guarded by a few demons. And by a few, I meant three.
The person who must be in charge here must either be really cocky, or just not expecting anything big to happen. I sighed, shrugging at Loliana's question. "Who knows? We'll just have to wait and see."
We heard rustlings in the bushes in front of the guards, who immediately took a battle ready stance. I waited quietly. If those kids blew it, I would need to bail them out before they get killed. Of course, I will hear a few objections here and there, but why the hell should I care?
I kept my gaze on the bushes, and up popped the most ridiculous things I had ever seen. The three of them were dressed up in freaky leaves and trees and they were roaring like some kinda freaky leaf monster.
I gaped in shock as Loliana stared with her eyes twitching. Even the guards stared at them in disbelief. I noticed that one of them had stopped with the growling and was now sighing.
I'm betting that the one that stopped was Lorraine.. He's the more... sensible and less ridiculous of the two. Star's more innocent than anything, and Martyr's a plain idiot, so it kinda makes it obvious that it would be Lorraine who had stopped with the charade. Poor guy. I thought, snickering inwardly.
The guards were making their way towards them, ready to strike them. Martyr and Star kept with the growling. "Why... why did we have to do this.....?" I heard Lorraine mutter under his breath, his hand moving towards his sword.
Soon enough the demon guards went to attacking them, which left Loliana and I with the perfect opportunity to jump in and sneak past the metal doors, into the building. Soon after we entered, I heard loud gunshots and a melody.
"Let's go." Loliana whispered beside me. I nodded, and we drew our weapons, ready for any fight that may come at us.
We kept walking, taking occasional turns in the completely metallic building. The walls, doors, even the floors were completely made out of pure silver metal. Somebody must have some kinda weird metal fetish... I thought, looking around.
It was strangely empty. Not a single soul here. "A trap..?" I muttered.
I looked back at my companion who only nodded in response. "Most likely... be careful." We continued walking until we saw a door, that, unlike the the other doors we saw, was pitch black with a few streaks of silver.
Upon taking a closer look, the door looked like it was made out of obsidian and silver. The only one from the information packet that we got that had some kinda weird mineral fetish and would use it for almost everything was....
Oh crap, why? I glanced over at Loliana, who cringed, probably realizing who was behind that door.
A demon with a peculiar mineral fetish, and someone who had created some very strange items out of them. There was only one demon that was like that. Always having goggles plastered to her face and if you took a look in her purse you could see that it was filled to the brim with minerals of different kinds.
