Rose's Secret Weapon and Pink Diamond's Death

Legit spoilers!

This isn't really a legit theory though. It's more like a list of wtf questions.

So we know that Rose somehow shattered Pink Diamond as confirmed by Eyeball. But how? Bismuth said that her sword was sharp enough to destroy a gem's form but not completely shatter it. The only weapon we know capable of shattering gems is the Breaking Point. (We also could assume that falling debris could crush gems. Freaking gravity.)

Rose had a secret weapon to shatter Pink Diamond, but what could it have been? Could've it had been Lion?

We've seen Lion use her roaring powers on multiple occasions, but have we really gotten the true fury of her? Lion is lazy, but probably tired from past battles. We have no idea what Lion's true purpose is, but we know that she has a connection with Rose.

Somehow, a Quartz soldier gotten hold of an animal-like gem. Is Lion a semi-corrupted gem? We don't know the nature of Lion. Did she choose an animal form over a humanoid form? How is Lion... Lion? What did she do? Is there way more than just a British mane (if you get the reference) and a portal-creating roar? Was Pink Diamond's gem devoured by Lion? Seriously, wtf is Lion?

But there may be a missing detail to Pink Diamond's death. Did Rose actually shatter Pink Diamond, or is there another gem trying to frame Rose? Eyeball was somehow there. How did she see Rose shatter Pink Diamond?
