Chapter 7- The farm

Zoe's POV
I told everyone about Rosey we are best friends the last time I talked to her she was going home to see her parents guess she never made it we all hurd a gun shot and it's bothering Lori.

"You still worrying about it" Andrea asked her when we stopped

"It was a gunshot" she said

"We all heard it" Daryl told her

"Why one why just one gunshot" Lori asked

"Maybe they took down a walker" Daryl told her

"Please don't patronize me you know Rick wouldn't risk a gunshot to put down one walker or Shane they'd do it quietly" Lori said looking around

"Shouldn't they have caught up with us by now" Carol asked

"There's nothing we can do about it anyway can't run around these woods chasing echoes" Daryl said

"So what are we gonna do" I asked him

"Same as we've been beat the bush for Sophia work our way back to the highway i'm sure they'll hook up with us back at the RV" Daryl said we started walking and Andrea went to Carol

"I'm sorry for what you're going through i know how you feel" Andrea said

"I suppose you do thank you the thought of her out here by herself It's the not knowing that's killin' me i just keep hopin' and prayin' she doesn't wind up like Amy Oh God that's the worst thing I ever said" she said looking at Andrea

"We're all hoping and praying with you for what it's worth" Andrea said smiling but didn't finsh her sentence

"I'll tell ya what it's worth not a damn thing it's a waste of time all this hopin' and prayin' we're gonna locate that little girl she's gonna be just fine am I the only one zen around here good lord" Daryl said

Lori and i both smiled We all continued to walk we been walking a while Rosey and Mike have been talking i thank this is the firsts he's smiled in a while we stopped and looked around.

"We'll lose the light before too long i think we should call it" Daryl said

"Let's head back" Lori told us

"We'll pick it up again tomorrow" Carol asked her

"Yeah we'll find her tomorrow" she told her

Daryl whistles and we all head back to the highway it's quite now no one is talking I'm walking by Daryl he's not saying much of noting.

"How much farther" Lori asked

"Not much Maybe a hundred yards as the crow flies" Daryl said

We hurd Andrea screaming and ran to her to help her i look and see a horse come the opposite way and it the walker saving Andrea.

"Lori Lori Grimes Whoa" the girl asked

"I'm Lori" Lori said to her

"Rick sent me you've got to come now" she told her in a hurry

"What" she asked

"There's been an accident Carl's been shot he's still alive but you've gotta come now Rick needs you just come" the girl said Lori took off her bag and got on the horse

"Whoa-whoa-whoa we don't know this girl you can't get on that horse" Daryl said to her

"Rick said you had others on the highway that big traffic snarl" she said looking at Glenn

"Uh-huh" Glenn answered

"Backtrack to Fairburn Road two miles down is our farm you'll see the mailbox name's Greene-Hi-yah" she said and took off with Lori the walker came back up and was Wheezing

"Shut up" Daryl said and shot it with an arrow

We went back to get the others and Dale was waiting there for us we told him about Carl.

"Shot what do ya mean shot" Dale asked Glenn

"I don't know Dale i wasn't there all I know is this chick rode out of nowhere like Zorro on a horse and took Lori" Glenn told him

"You let her" Dale said looking at Daryl

"Climbed down out of my asshole man Rick sent her she knew Lori's name and Carl's" Daryl said walking passed him

"I heard screams was that you" Dale asked Andrea she walked right passed him

"She got attacked by a walker" i said

"It was a close call" Mike told him

"Andrea are you all right" Dale asked she just looked at him didn't say a thing just walked in the RV

We are going to the farm but Carol dosent want to go i don't blame her if it was my daughter out there I'd do the same.

"I won't do it we can't just leave" Carol said to us

"Carol the group is split we're scattered and weak" Dale said

"What if she comes back and we're not here" Carol said crying

"It could happen if Sophia found her way back and we were gone that would be awful" Andrea said

"Okay we gotta plan for this i say tomorrow morning is soon enough to pull up stakes give us a chance to rig a big sign leave her some supplies i'll hold here tonight stay with the RV" Daryl said I looked at him he looked at me

"If the RV is stayin' I am too" Dale said

"Thank you thank you both" Carol said to them

"I'm in" Andrea said

"Well if you're all staying then I'm" Glenn said but didn't finsh

"not you Glenn you're going to take Carol's cherokee" Dale told him

"I'm going to stay" i said Daryl looked at me

"The hell you are your not staying your going with Glenn and Rosey you to your both nurses remember mabey they can use y'all" Daryl said looking me in the eyes

"Fine" i caved

"Me why is it always me" Glenn asked

"You guys have to find this farm reconnect with our people and see what's going on but most important you have to get T-Dog there this is not an option that cut has gone from bad to worse he has a very serious blood infection get him to that farm see if they have any antibiotics because if not T-Dog will die no joke" Dale said

Daryl went to his bike and pulled out a shit lode of meds out what why didn't he tell me about this before I could have helped T-Dog.

"Keep your oily rags off my brother's motorcycle why'd you wait till now to say anything got my brother's stash Crystal, X don't need that got some kick ass painkillers Doxycycline not the generic stuff neither it's first class Merle got the clap on occasion" Daryl said

I went to give T-Dog the pain killers hopefully that will do till we get to the farm.
