Chapter 1- Meeting Zoe

Zoe's POV
I woke to screming across the hall from my apartment i opened the door and seen a ugly looking thing it came at me but I shut the door and locked it it banged on the door. I backed away and looked out my window and saw panic and chaos i went to my closest to get my bags and packed as mean clothes as I could i put on some clothes as well.

I went to my cabinet and got all my food and grabed my things of water i took one last look around their was some good memories in this apartment. I went to the door and the banging had stop i slowly opened the door nothing was there so I opened all the way and looked down both was of the hall nothing.

I made my way down the stairs i looked in one of the apartment's and a tv was on it said Military protection food, shelter everyone come to Atlanta i repeat we have Military protection food and shelter everyone please be safe. And it ended.

As i went to the stairs i saw an fire ax so I broke the glass and grabed it got to have something. I looked out the little window on the door there was alot of those ugly things so I slowly opened the door and saw a way thew as soon as I opened it they came for me.

I took a swing at it and it feel to the ground i killed it i went the way that was clear i saw alot of signs that said go to Atlanta same as the brodcast so I set out for Atlanta. I found and abandoned car and looked in and saw the keys still in the ignition i cranked it and it came to life it only had half a tank that would get me to Atlanta so I turnd the car in that direction.

*two hours later*
I ran out of gas coming into the city i got out grabed my bags and my ax and walked the rest of the way as I got in the city i hurd gun fire and mad my way to the sound and found a lot of the dead their i saw two men on a balcony and they climbed the ladder to the top. I found away to that same balcony and mad my way up before any of the dead could get me.

When I got to the top i went down the other side and came to an ally and there was two bodies on the ground and a bus blacking the way in i went to the door a blonde women was holding a gun up to the man that came up the balcony befor me.

"We are all dead becouse of you and you who are you" she said pointing the gun at me I put my hands up

"Hang on my name is Zoe Dawson I'm just looking for a safe place please" I said with my hands up

"I don't understand" the guy next to me said I didn't either

They grabed us and started walking us to the front.

"Look we came into the city to scavenge supplies you know what the key to scavenging is surviving you know the key to surviving sneaking in and out tiptoeing not shooting up the streets like it's the O. K." The guy said

"Every geek for miles around heard you popping off rounds" the black guy said

"You just rang the dinner bell" the blonde girl said who had the gun on us

"Get the picture now" another guy said

I looked out the glass doors and saw a lot of them at the door banging on it and Growling one had a rock and started bang on the glass it started to brake we backed up.

"Oh God" i said covering my mouth

"What the hell were yall doing out there anyway" the blonde girl asked us

"I was looking for that refuge and saw him so I followed" i said looking at her she turnd to Rick

"Trying to flag the helicopter" he said

"Helicopter Man that's crap Ain't no damn helicopter" the black guy said

"You were chasing a hallucination imagining things It happens" the other women said
