"XAVIER JACKSON KANE!"
This can end two ways. Me never seeing my best friend again because of his angered father or never seeing Xavier again...
Never mind, its only ending in one way then.
His fathers voice becomes louder by a second, while Xavier locks us in his room and whispers,
"Don't say a word."
"You know it could be better if you just confront him...or not" I sigh
"Adria, why do you think he's mad?"
"I don't know...Go find out."
Getting up, I unlock his door as he follows me downstairs to his father.
Xavier's POV:
My father, red faced, holding a paper. Stood still next to the kitchen counter beckons me to him with his finger. I turn to Adria, whose stood by the doorway clearly nervous by the biting of her nails.
"Xavier." His voice stern, I clearly get the message this isn't going to end well.
"What?" I lower my tone.
"Don't 'what' me. You know why I called you"
"I wouldn't be asking 'what' if I did"
"Xavier, don't use that street language with me. I'm your father."
I could feel Adria staring at us. "What did I do, Dad?"
"Three F's in a row, Xavier. How do you think you'll pass life if you can't even pass school?"
"I'll just retake them," I snatch the papers off his grip but he holds tight at the last second.
"Let go." His voice threatens.
"No." My voice goes a higher tone.
"Xavier Kane, let go so I don't have to repeat myself."
"Its mine. Not yours, so how about you let go?"
"Don't talk to me like that. I'm not your friend, I'm your father!" his shout silences the room.
Taking my chance, I snatch it harder off his grip walking backwards I accidently drop a glass figurine off the counter. It smashes onto the floor causing a gasp from Adria and a jump from me. That was one of the last things my mother loved in this house. The design of the dolphin, the clear glass you can see through. 'Transparent Dolphin' she'd call it.
"XA-" cut off from his sigh, he continues "Adria, I think its time you went home."
I turn and see Adria, already holding her bag, still biting into her nails.
"No, she's not going anywhere" I sternly reply
"Xavier! Don't push your luck"
"With you around, there's no such thing as luck"
"XAVIER JACKSON KANE! I AM YOUR FATHER, NOT YOUR FRIEND THAT YOU CAN JUST PLAY AROUND WITH! SHOW ME SOME RESPECT"
"Respect?" I spit in disgust
"What have I done to you so bad, Xavier?"
I can tell he's giving up. I angrily walk around the space wondering if I should utter the words in my head. And soon enough I'm facing him the opposite direction at the end of the counter.
"YOU KILLED MOM!"
ADRIA'S POV:
It was an accident, at least back then it was. Never before had Xavier's dad reacted with violence but I guess this was his breaking point.
The wine glass shattered onto the peach wall behind Xavier. While blood ran down his left cheek and the last remaining glass that cut him dropped to the floor.
A sense of Déjà Vu appeared.
After long days and months of waiting I finally updated! Finally!! Sorry, its a short chapter but I promise, promise and promise my next chapter will be longer and better. Please, do tell me what I should do to improve these chapters and leave any other opinions belowww xD
And also, quick note. I am going to be changing the actor who plays Xavier too Daniel Sherman and the actor who plays Isaac Craig too Dylan O'Brien (he hasn't been introduced to the story yet) and deleting the trailer I made for Everything About It, because I made the trailer before I even really got into the book and there are a few scenes that are just generally irrelevant to the story line. So, when I finish my book I'll make a new and proper trailer.
Thanks for everything, till next time my fellow wattpaders XD
