6. A little Incident

Previously on The Teachers Pet...

They all say its okay. And we just hang out and talk.

"Rebecca why'd you run away from me?" I hear a deep husky voice behind me.

Everyone at the table turns and their eyes go wide looking behind me.

Now...

I slowly turn to be face to face with the man that I spend everyday at work avoiding.

"Daniel. Hey." I say leaving his question unanswered.

"Why'd you leave me?" he asks stepping forward.

I lean back as far as i can without standing. Shaun puts his arm around me and stands between us.

"Whoa. Back off bro. Thats close enough." Shaun says in a stern voice. "I dont care how hot you are." he shakes his head.

I smile at Shauns attitude and giggle a little. Daniels eyes snap to Shauns.

"How hot I am?" he raises a brow.

As Shaun and Daniel stare at eachother, I reach around to the table behind me and grab the shot of fireball. I turn back around. Shauns arm still around me.

I put the small glass to my lips and tilt my head back. Swollowing the liquid.

I squeeze my eyes close then blow out the cinnamon air still in my mouth. Daniel places his eyes back on me.

"See you later Becca." he says and smirks at me before turning to walk back into the crowd of people.

I stare until he is completely gone. Even after Shaun removed his arm.
I smile to myself as I turn around to face them again.

"Who the hell was that?" Yasmine yells.

"This guy from work." I roll my eyes, shrugging my shoulders.

"He goes to work with you?" Naomi raises her eyebrows and places her hand on her chest.

"Hahaa yeah. Lets take another shot!" I say and grab the next shot glass filled with half fireball and half tequila.

By this time I am sh.itfaced. totally out of it. I ask them if they want to go have a cigarette. But only Naomi said yes.

We stand and walk toward the back door. We step out and pass a couple people outside already smoking.

We lean against the wall and light up our cigarettes.

"I'm thinking about moving here." Naomi says before taking a drag.

"You should. Its amazing here." I say agreeing with here decision.

"But I dont want to leave Shaun to deal with Derek alone." she says in a sad tone.

"I know. I know. I hate for him to be alone. Just bring him with you." I sigh and take a drag of the cigarette.

She was about to answer when a tall buff man grabs ahold of my hips. I turn and look at him. The alcohol affecting my reaction time.

"Back off." I say and push him away.

He stumbles back, obviously drunk as well. But then he steps to me shoving me back against the wall. His strength becoming stronger. He closes the distance between us and moves his face extremely close to mine.

I turn my head to try increase the distance as well as possible.

"Hey leave her alone!" Naomi yells and begins to punch him.
