14. She Promised Me

Previously on The Teachers Pet...

Why havent you answered my calls??" he asks.

I dont say anything.

"Bec.. Please say something to me." he says.

Now...

I stand in silence, not really sure what to say.

He lowers and rest his elbows on his knees, his fingers running through his gorgeous blonde hair. I open my door and kneel down sitting infront of him.
"Tyler." I say quietly.

He looks at me. His eyes seemed to be teary. Why?

"I thought you..." he says but doesnt continue.

"Thought I what?" I ask, really confused now.

"I-I... I thought you hurt yourself..." he stutters looking down in disbelief.

"Why would I do that?" I ask standing back up, complete shock taking over.

He stands up as well walking though the door. I take a couple steps back. Almost like I was afriad to be close to him.

"Yasmine told me about..." he drifts off.

I feel like my heart was ripped out. I told her specifically that I didnt want Tyler to know about any of that. I didnt like when people would worry about me when I was upset.

I turn from him, still in complete shock. But I mean.. She was worried. But I told her.. I fucking told her.

"Rebecca please dont do that to yourself." he says turning me back towards him.

I look anywhere but his eyes. I really didnt want him to know about any of that. Yasmine promised me she would tell. No matter what.

"Tyler that was stupid thing for me to do. It was a bad time for me. I dont do that anymore. Its the past, lets keep it the past." I rush my words, still not making eye contact.

He places his hand on my chin, making me look at him. I didnt feel the same tingling feeling I felt when Daniel did it.

I move my face away from his hand. He looked so confused by my actions.

"Im not like that anymore." I say looking down.

What I did was a thing of the past. I was in a really bad place. Im happier now, I have a good job. Great friends.

I started thinking about Shaun again. He was the greatest friend Ive ever had. Him and I had a special bond. An unbreakable one too.

My eyes begin to water as I think about how close we were and it made my chest hurt.

"Rebecca.. Are you crying?" he asks, looking at me worried.

"Tyler. Ive had a rough two days. If you cant handle me crying get the fuck out of my house right now." I say sternly.

He looks at me in shock. Saying nothing. For what feels like miuntes, he stand there awkwardly. He finally breaks the silence.

"Im just happy youre okay." he says and steps to me.

He hesitantly wraps his arms around me and I hug him back, letting a couple tears fall.

He holds me for a while as we stand in the middle of my livingroom. Soon we sat on the couch and started watching some tv. Occasionally talking about Shaun.

Our night continues on and we end up falling asleep cuddled together on the couch.

The next morning I awoke to knocking at my front door. I stand up and walk over, accidentally waking Tyler up.

I peep through the peephole, confused on who would be at my house so early. My alarm hasnt even gone off yet.

When I see who it is I open the door, shocked and confused.

"Daniel?"

Sorry its so short.

Im getting my wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow and I am having a difficult time concentrating.

Im so nervous.. Lol

But yeah.

Why is Daniel There? What is he going to do when he sees Tyler? How is Tyler going to react to the sight of Daniel?
