I sit at my new dresser with my makeup all set out in front of me getting ready for my day with the girls.

I decided to dress in leather look pants and a nice top paired with some heels. I was so looking forward to the catch up, it was always such a laugh when we are all together.

My mum drops me off outside the cute cocktail bar that's decorated neon and jazzy. Olivia and Amelia are already sat down at a table with a flower backdrop, just as I'm making my way in, I hear my name being called and Cara rushes towards me.

"omg hey!" she hugs me.

"hiii! It's been so long" I say as we make our way to the other girls. I greet them and give them each a hug and we do the typical catch up. The what have you been up to? How's university? Etc. Once we order a round of drinks and a plate of nibbles it's like we have never had time apart. We fall back into our usual selves.

After a few drinks were all laughing away about nights out and one-night stands that's when his name is mentioned.

"I still can't get over that you slept with Alex, Cara! I mean I've had two terrible one-night stands but I don't think I'd be embarrassed about that one!" Liv says.

"I know! I don't even know how that even happened!" there's a pause and Cara turned to "I'm sorry...it's not awkward is it? I know how close you guys were. It was one night at a party we were really drunk and it just happened."

"of course, it's not awkward, its fine. Me and Alex haven't spoken in two years. It makes no odds to me" In all honestly I didn't know how to feel about that news but I let it go, it was none of my business anyway.

"that reminds me!" Amelia squeals. "don't make any plans for next Saturday. Braydon is having a party so were all going there"

"whose Braydon?" I asked.

"He works with Alex. We met him in first year when we came home for Christmas. He's funny, you'll like him." Liv says.

"and he would be okay me going? I don't know the guy?"

"oh, he will be fine, he barely knows anyone who turns up anyway!"

I chuckle but have an uneasy feeling about it. If they met him through Alex that means that he will be there. The thought of that made me queasy.

We ended up going to a few different places and the ended up in a club later on. We must have been out a good 12 hours. But by 3 I was ready to call it a night. I was drunk and super tired. The girls agreed and were also ready to call a taxi and head home.

We leave the club and head to the taxi rank that will take us all home. I wait outside with Liv while Cara and Amelia order us our taxi when I hear my name.

"Kae?" it was a male voice and it was too familiar. I turn and face one of the boys I grew up with.

"Hi Logan" I say, not knowing how to deal with the situation. Due to what happened, I'd also lost Logan as well as Alex. Both being major parts of my life from such a young age.

He walked towards me and gave me a hug.

"how are you? It's been what two years? How's uni?"

"I'm good, yeah its really good I've just been super busy and then staying at my dad's. How are you?"

"yeah, really good thanks" his name is called from across the street. "anyway, it was good to see you again Kae" he smiles at me, a soft genuine smile. "it's not been the same around here without you" With that he saunters off.

I turn to see all three girls staring at me with their brows raised.

"what?" I laugh.

"you really need to explain and fill is in as to what the hell is going on with you and those boys, you've got one that won't speak to you and one that has missed you"

If only I could explain it, if I did, they wouldn't want to know me.
