We were on our way to the party and I was slightly nervous at the thought of seeing Alex. I'm hoping I'll be able to avoid him as I'm told Braydon has quite a big house but I know I'm being stupid and there's no way I'll go unnoticed by him. We have just come from Livs house where we all got ready together and had a few drinks, I'd be lying if I wasn't slightly tipsy but definitely needed more alcohol before it wears off. We pull up alongside the house and they weren't lying when they said it was huge. Mia's in the front and is handed all the money to pay the taxi driver but drops a few of the coins down the side of her seat. Liv and Cara are stood out the car and are rushing her to hurry up because its freezing. I put my torch on helping her look for them and tell the other two to head on in.

My heart was pounding so hard that I could swear everyone within three feet of me could hear it. He walked away and it took me back to that night, the night he walked away from me with a look I never want to witness again, after he found out what I did.

I'm brought out of my trance by Cara asking me if I'm okay.

"yeah, I'm fine" I plaster a smile on "let's go get a drink"

The girls all shout in union and we head to the kitchen to get ourselves some drinks. I down a shot of vodka before anyone has even poured their drink yet.

"whoa girl, do you even want to make it to the end of tonight?" Amelia asks laughing. I laugh and pour three more, persuading the girls to have one.

Were all in the main room with drinks when a guy approaches us. The girls all greet him with open arms. I stand awkwardly waiting for someone to introduce me.

"Braydon, this is Kaelyn the girl we mentioned we were bringing along" it then dawns on me that this is the host of the party that I'm pretty much crashing.

I put my hand out in greeting "hi" I say nervously. I do feel kinda bad that I just rocked up uninvited however the girls did say it was okay for me to come.

"hi" he responds and smirks at me. I shake his hand.

"I'm sorry for gate-crashing" I awkwardly laugh "hope you don't mind me being here"

"not at all, the girls mentioned that they were bringing a plus one. You were all close in college, right?"

"yeah, that's right"

"how come I've never seen you round?"

"I've not been home in two years, when I went to university I just went straight to my dad's during holidays."

"ahhh I see, you'll know my buddy Alex then, won't you?"

I was taken aback; I didn't really know how to respond to that question.

"erm..w well yeah, we grew up together"

"yeah, they were like inseparable at one point but now don't even speak" Olivia says and turns to me. "why did you guys fall out? He never said anything and neither have you?"

I felt my cheeks grow red as all the girls looked at me in question. I couldn't even produce an answer.

That's when someone shouted calling for everyone to join in on the newly started drinking game of truth or dare.

The girls stopped interrogating me and their faces lit up at the thought of playing.

"omg c'mon we have to go play!" Cara said dragging us all off in the direction of the small group playing.

I quickly head to go get another refill so I can actually join in with the 'drinking game' and let the girls know. I squeeze my way past a group to get to the kitchen which is pretty empty aside from a girl who has alex boxed to the counter. They're stood exactly where I need to be to get my drink and mixer.

Fuck.

I walk over and try and grab at least my vodka but I was met with his cold stare.

"what do you want?" he says in a harsh tone.

"sorry I'm just after my drink"

He sighs and passes me my bottled liquor. I stand there for a second too long as the dark-haired girl stood between his legs chirps up

"alright you got your bottle, scram" I walk off to pour my drink elsewhere, in search of a mixer while I do so.

I join the rest of the group when I have my drink after downing another vodka shot. I'm really ready to let my hair down.

I re-join the group and I'm instantly picked to go next.

"hey newbie you're up, truth or dare?" a random male says

I was feeling daring with the alcohol pulsing through my blood stream.

"dare" I smirk.

"kiss the person you find most attractive in this room" he smirks.

I have a rush of adrenaline as everyone looks in my direction. I scan the room and my eyes meet Alex's. He must have joined the group while I was being asked the question.

I instantly regret my choice of answer as I suddenly lose all my confidence. I knew no one here par the girls and Alex and I don't think Alex would be too impressed if I went over and laid one on him.

Amelia must sense my uneasiness as she nudges me and whispers "Braydon's giving you the eye, just go for it girl"

I can't deny that Braydon is an extremely attractive and when I was speaking to him earlier, I was slightly flustered. I built up my confidence and walked towards him, staring at him. He smirked as I approached his eye brows raised. In Amelia's words I just went for it, relying totally on the alcohol for my confidence boost. I grabbed his face and gave him a what I would call quick kiss. Nothing more than a peck really, as I pulled away, he dragged me back and devoured my lips giving me way more than just a peck.
