Chapter 15

AJ's POV

I woke up in an oversized black t-shirt. It wasn't mine and I have no clue on how I got it. I looked around my room and my eyes landed on the boy in my bed. He was blonde and had peircing blue eyes that were resting. He was the light to my darkness.

I started to get up but I didn't want to wake him up so I went really quiet. I got downstairs and I opened the fridge. I grabbed some cream cheese and a bagel. I put the bagel in the toaster and waited for it. I thoughg I heard Luke move upstairs but I just forgot about it. My wrist stings really bad.

I went back upstairs with my bagel to see Luke looking through my papers. His eyes were scanning a sheet that I couldn't see.

"Hey, who is this about?" He asked me while turning around and holding the sheet up. I stopped leaning against the wall and placed my bagel down. I made my way over to Luke and looked at the paper trying to figure out what it was.

"Um, it's about a person that I think is a friend, but I don't know if they think of me as a friend the way I do." I said, hoping he wouldn't get a hint.

"Oh, well I bet that they will love you eventually if they don't now" he said and I supressed a sigh of relief. "Uh, you have a game today"

" oh, sheit!" I yelled in a funny voice. We both laughed. "No seriously, I need your help"

"Okay" he said and put the paper down on the table. He came after me into that bathroom. I grabbed foundation, concealer and colour correcting powder and handed them to Luke. He got to work on layering the makeup.

"They can still be seen" Luke said.

"How about we wrap it and say that it was bugging me. I just won't take any throw-ins" I said.

"Okay that works, where is the bandage?" He asked.

"Under the sink" I said.

He got on his knees and opended the cabinets. He looked around and his eyes widend. He reached up to the ledfe on the inside of the cabinet and grabbed something. "You are going to flush these, all of them, down the toilet and I am going to watch you do it" he said holding out a razor blade. He then put all of the others on the sink counter. "Where are the rest?"

"Under my desk, under the table, in the stuffing of all cpuches and chairs, in the closet on the ceiling, in every drawer, every cabinet." I said.

"Is that all?" He asked.

"No" I said. "Behind the bed, look there and add 37 marks on the wall"

"Okay" he said and walked out.

Luke's POV

I grab a zip lock back and went on a hunt for the blades. I went everywhere AJ said but I went to the back to the bed last. I grabbed evey razor in the house and placed it in a bag to give to AJ, but that is alot of blades to flush. I moved the bed and grabbed the last hidded blade, I carved 37 tally marks.

I went back to the bathroom and found AJ sitting there, I didn't tell her to stay there and she still did. I guess she thinks I can't trust her.

"There are too many blades to flush" I said.

"Then let's throw them in the sewer" she said and

"Okay, what time is your game at?" I asked.

"Toss em' in" I said giving AJ the bag. She opened the bag and poured them in. She then kisked the ones that didn't go in the sewer into it. She threw that bag out.

"Let's go" she said. I grabbed her arm and pulled her close.

"Thank you" I said.

"You're welcome" she said, relaxing in my arms.

She pulled away from me and started walking walking back in the direction of her house. I followed her.

When we got in the door and AJ got her uniform on and we left. She laced up her boots and stood up. She gave me a quick hug and ran across the field to her team. The ref blew his whistle and they went onto the field.

"Hey is anyone sitting here?" A girl asked me and a boy with brown hair and eyes was behind her. She had long brown hair with brown eyes. Her skin was a light brown, like coffee with creamer. She was average height and was wearing a black netflix shirt.

"Uh, no. Go ahead" I said and she sat down, the guy sitting next to her.

"I am Mable, this is Dan" she said putting her hand out.

"Luke" I said shaking her hand.

"I would be playing right now, but, meh" she said shrugging.

"I am here for AJ" I said.

"Ooh, AJ is getting a kick I see" Dan chuckled.

"No, we are hanging out after this." I said.

"Yeah, hanging out" Mable said with a giggle. "I'm just kidding, what happened to her arm?"

"It was bugging her so she wrapped it up. She said she wasn't going to take throw ins" I said and Mable nodded.

The ref blew the whistle and the ball got played.

By half time we were up 2-1 and I didn't realize that Nicola was on the team.

So we won the game, and they were just shaking hands. AJ came to me and gave me a hug.

"Thank you" she said. I wrapped my arms around her and looked down at her.

"For what?" I said. She looked up at me, pulling back a little bit.

"For being my inspiration" she said. There was a snort behind me.
"Yeah, have fun hanging out" it was Mable and she patted me on the back. I felt AJ laugh against my torso.

"I see you met Mable" she said.

"Yes, yes I have" I said. We started walking back to AJ's house and we finished our conversation. I felt her fingers tangle into mine, and I fixed mine into hers.
