When you're young, you forever dream and yearn so much to get older thinking things are only gonna get easier but you're wrong.
It may be easy for a little while after high school because you get a break but if you're living the life that I live now, you're in for a big surprise.
With working, taking care of two kids, supporting three families, and making sure you get everything straight for college; not to mention getting to the point where you're ready to settle down for real. It's a struggle.
It's been three weeks since my last day of high school and a week since graduation.
I feel so free and happy. Nothing can take away the joy that I have right now.
"There's levels to this yo' boy!"
That's all you heard come from the backseat of the car. I laughed to myself looking back at Yaniese and Adrienne. I have a feeling that I'm going to have to look out for these two when it comes to rappers, especially Meek.
Today wasn't only Halloween but it was Daddy-Daughter Day too. I picked up my princesses from school and now we're on our way to Party City to get their costumes. The funny part about it is that they both chose the same ones!
L.A better be ready for Blueberry Shortcakes.
"Daddy come on! It over here," Dri yelled running over to the mannequin with the costume they wanted. "I'm right here." They looked at me and smiled trying to rip the costume to get it off. "No, no, no! Don't do that. Daddy will get it for you."
I shake my head at how wild they can be sometimes. An employee came over and got the number for their costumes. Two minutes later, she comes back with the perfect sizes for them both. They were so excited that they snatched them out of her hand without even saying thank you.
Excuse me? I know they're happy but they're not going to be embarrassing me like they don't have any home training. I gave them that look Siyara always gives when they're in trouble.
They knew exactly what they did then turned right around and apologized. After they said thank you, the girl gave them a hug because of how cute they were.
Oh gosh. I took them to the register and paid for them. As we were walking out of the store my phone started ringing.
This person has been calling me unknown for almost two weeks now. Everytime I answer all they do is laugh then hang up.
It creeps me out but I'll be good. I guess it's just about that time to change my cell phone number. We got back to the car and I opened the door for the girl while I turned on the car. I had forgotten to turn my stereo down before we got out so they clicked on playing music super loud.
The day when Ray had given the girls krump lessons the whole crew and a few of Ray's other friends were free-styling to the remix of some song and let me tell you these little ones caught on quick! As soon as the beat dropped, I stood there and watched my youngings "kwump" in the empty parking space right next to us.
Lord Jesus. I can already see that these girls are going to be exactly like us when they get older.
I just pray that they don't make the same mistakes that we did.
