"(Y/n)?..."

Kyle's POV

I can't believe it. (Y/n) is The Wolf? It doesn't make sense. But now that I think about it, this does make sense. We didn't allow her to join the game so she decided to take matters into her own hands. It makes so much sense because when the game was created we said no girls which, no matter how much it hurt me, hurt (Y/n) more. The Wolf then became a reality and nobody knew who they were. It makes so much sense!

(Vortex: I'm still confused... Kyle: HOW? How can you be confused it makes perfect sense! Vortex: WHAT?! How did you get outside the story? Get back in the book! (breaking the fourth wall much? XD))

"(Y/n) this must be some kind of joke! You can't be The Wolf, we told you ages ago that girls weren't allowed to join the game!" Stan spoke from my left. I couldn't find the words to speak. Hundreds of questions were rocketing through my head 'Do I yell at her for breaking the rules? or Do I welcome her in as if nothing happened?' But wait if we didn't know that (Y/n) was The Wolf surely the Fatass' so called army wouldn't know either. This is perfect!

(Y/n)'s POV (BTW all POV's will now be in first person)

I stood there as Stan calmly reminded me of the rules I hated so much. I looked at Kyle hoping that he would help me. I guess not. "Stan please understand this...." I tried to reason with him. "No (Y/n) you listen here!..." Stan yelled. Kyle finally seemed to snap out of his trance and raised his hand which stopped Stan dead in his tracks. Kyle seemed to contemplate something before inhaling and sighing. "(Y/n) we set the rules for a reason." I tried to argue but Kyle simply raised his hand effectively silencing me in my tracks. "As I was saying, we set the rules for a reason BUT I believe it was unfair to set those rules and single out the only girl who would be willing to join us. For that I'm sorry but to make up for it I will fulfil the promise. You may join the Elves. But just answer me this, why go through so much effort to join us? I want the truth (Y/n)!" Kyle raised his head slightly awaiting my response.

"To be honest I don't really know why I joined. I guess I was just felling left out and forgotten.

I was originally going to come over and ask you if I could join the game before I became the Wolf but I guess it seemed silly. I wanted to create a character that people could fear and yet admire. I just felt like I needed to prove myself to all of you to show that I wasn't weak and that I am just as capable as you." I took a deep breath and raised my head silently waiting for the response from the crowd. Of course everyone was still silent, absorbing the information I had just told them.

After a good minute of silence it was broken by Kyle. "(Y...Y/n) there was never a need to prove yourself. You already proved yourself y being our best friend all these years!" Kyle spoke as he came up to me and placed his hands on my shoulders. Ours eyes looked straight into the other's and in that moment we saw sparks in our eyes. I could feel my cheeks slightly heat up. Unfortunately our little moment was disrupted by Stan clearing his throat and speaking up. "Kyle's right (Y/n) you never needed to prove yourself. I mean come on your like a sister to me. I'm sure if you pulled and twisted my arm enough I would have attempted to bend the rules so that you could join. All you had to do was ask!" Stan came up and stood next to Kyle smiling like a kid on Christmas. Kyle backed up and looked at me as if prompting me to say something. "I, oh fuck it. Can I (Y/n) (L/n) (last name) join the kingdom of the elves?"

Kyle decided to take the piss by placing his hand on his chin as if thinking. "Hmm interesting proposal but what can you offer our kingdom in return?" I rolled my eyes playfully but because this was a game I played along. "I The Wolf can offer many services such as outside information, sneaking and stealing. As well as a powerful young warrior that is ready to beat down any enemy that dares to hurt the king or any fellow Elven warriors." Kyle nodded his head as I walked forward. He pulled out a bracelet that looked handmade. It was made of (F/c) string and had a miniature metal arrow charm on it. "This was intended to be a present for my beloved but I suppose you should wear it as a mark of the Elves." Kyle spoke as he tied the bracelet round my right wrist. I felt my cheeks turn a dark shade of red at his words but couldn't help letting a giggle escape my lips as he sais it. He smirked up at me and put his hand on my shoulder as he turned us to face the crowd of Elves. "Elven warriors I give you our newest fighter who will defend this kingdom from evil at all costs. I give to you (Y/n), The Wolf." An eruption of cheers soared through the air as you smiled at your fellow Elven warriors.

"Hey (Y/n) I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I hope it doesn't change our friendship." Stan said to me as he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. "Stan it would never change anything between us. We're still best friends or as you describe it your still my big brother." I said whilst playfully punching his shoulder. He laughed and pretended to rub the spot where I punched him. "Heh well in that case do you maybe wanna train with me? I could use a partner who may be a challenge for once." "Oh so is this how you want to play it huh? Well bring it on tough guy!" I laughed along with him as he lead me to the training area.

After around an hour of sparring we still haven't been able to knock each other down. Both of us were panting and sweating from the effort we put in. "Heh your not too bad (Y/n)" Stan said in between pants. "Agreed" I hastily breathed out. We both walked over and sat down under the tree watching the other Elves go about their daily business. "Hey (Y/n) by any chance do you still have a crush on Kyle?" Stan questioned looking at me. I froze and blushed slightly. "Maybe.. Ok fine yes I do!" I said. I didn't want to admit it but my crush hasn't gone away and now that I'm fighting alongside him I guess I have to face it head on. "Well if it helps then he still has his crush on you too. In fact he wouldn't stop talking about you when you weren't here. Now that you're here he still probably won't shut up about you." We both chuckled at that but we knew it was true.

Suddenly an alarm was sounded. We rushed to the tent where all the main supplies were kept. I put on my black facial scarf and my wolf hat. After grabbing my weapons I ran out into the battle. Adrenaline pumped through my veins at the thought of fighting again. Sprinting out the tent I knew I was ready...
