Making a final check to your outfit you looked around making sure the coast was clear. Quickly you plucked the cloth containing the wax seal off the table and carefully placing it in your satchel around your waist. 'Now to make my way to... him.' you thought as you made your way out of the side gate of your house. Sighing you watched the cloud of mist from your mouth float into the sky and disappear. You made your way towards the inn and made sure every once in a while to check your surroundings to make sure you were not followed. The note you received set you on edge and made you wary. How many others had seen this note? Did anyone else know your true identity? How did they know who you were?
Suddenly you felt hard stone beneath your feet instead of snow. You were to deep in thought to realise that you were here. The Inn Of The Giggling Donkey stood before you. 'No turning back now...' With a deep breath you opened the door and headed inside. The bell tied feebly above the door signalled just what you were heading into. Heads turned in your direction which caused a dead silence to take place. Looking around you tugged at the scarf around your mouth and made sure you wolf hat was just low enough so people could barely see your eyes. You made your way past a few tables that held a few random thieves and some other random players. The whole inn stared at your rhythmic movements as you made your way to the bar. On the way two different tables caught your attention: one with humans seated around it and another with elves. Seated at the elves' table was none other than one of your best friends Stan Marsh. You wanted to simply go up to him and greet him but you knew you couldn't, instead you mentally sighed and continued on your way to the bar. Whispers started around you and you could only make out a few lines from various conversations. 'Its the Wolf' 'Wow he looks so cool' 'What's he doing here?' One snippet of a conversation though caught your attention. 'Keep your eyes on him men, you heard what he can do so watch out. Remember that we may need him alive.' It was Stan. Stan said something about needing you alive, what did that mean?
Facing the bartender you simply droned out the whispers. "I'm here to see... the Mask." You stated in a masculine voice so as to your true identity. Correcting himself he continued to clean the glass he was cleaning before your arrival. "Yeah he's here. Table in the far corner away from everyone. Over there," He said pointing out a table in the far corner with a shadowed figure sitting at it "if you need anything else let me know." Nodding your thanks to him you made your way to the table he indicated. "So the Wolf has finally left the shadows has he?" The dark figure said in a husk voice. "I assume you are the one known as The Mask?" You questioned in your masculine voice. "You assumptions are correct though like you I would prefer to keep my identity secret. Isn't that right (y/n)?" He lifted his head slightly though you couldn't see his face still. The rest of the bar was back to normal nobody paid any attention to the two of you. "I-I how? B-but..." You sat there shocked and worried. The Mask let out a low chuckle but spoke sincerely "You have nothing to fear (y/n). I won't let your secret slide. In fact I find it a surprise others have not tried to track you down and discover your identity. I swear upon my life though your secret is safe with me. Now, what can I do for you?"
You smiled and mentally relaxed at this. His words were true and his intentions were sincere. Now though began the task you were really here for. Pulling out the cloth containing the seal you placed it on the table in front of you. Removing the cloth wrapping form around the red wax you revealed the seal. Turning the cloth so the seal faced The Mask you pushed it towards him. "Tell me everything you know about this..."
