After just waking up and stretching his limbs, Ben strolled into the kitchen to see Rey and Han drinking coffee and eating doughnuts and watching the news on the hotel's tiny television that still had antennae.

Rey notices Ben and turned to face him. "Oh, good morning, you're finally up." She sipped from her black coffee.

"Good morning, Ben." Han said, not looking away from the newspaper he was reading.

"Do you want coffee?" Rey asked. Ben shook his head no and reached into the box of a dozen donuts for a cinnamon sugar one, which he took a huge bite out of.

"So you can leave me alone in a hotel, Dad, but you can't leave me at home by myself?" Ben inquired.

Han sighed. Rey said, "Actually he went out to go get the doughnuts and coffee and stuff. I stayed here watching the TV."

Ben nodded, taking another piece of doughnut. "Mhm, I see." He sat down on the couch and looked at Rey. "We watch way too much TV anyway, Skywalker. How long has it been since any of us actually picked up a book?"

Rey huffed and Han looked up from his newspaper to stare Ben in the eye. "Careful, son," Han said, shaking his head. I didn't come all the way to the east coast for some bad attitude. I can get that in my own home at times. But Ben, if you keep behaving like that on this trip, well, I got a bad feeling about this."

Ben groaned. "But Dad, I wasn't even talking to you. I was talking to her..." Ben pointed his finger in Rey's direction, popped the rest of the doughnut in his mouth and slumped over onto the couch.

"Don't act like a little brat, kid." Han snapped. He took a sip from his coffee, which was nearly gone. "I know what you're going through with Brendol and all because it's happened to me, too, but I'm not going to excuse bad behaviour."

Ben popped up from the couch. "Don't even pretend like you know a thing about what's going on between Brendol and me, Dad." He growled. Ben softened his features and slumped back into the couch. "I'm being torn apart." Ben said under his breath, but loud enough for Han and Rey to hear.

Rey looked slightly panicked from all the tension in the room so she lights nervously and sheepishly said, "So Uncle Han, what time are we gonna see the Millennium Falcon?"

Han looked up at his son and said, "One o'clock, Rey."

Ben popped back up again, looking at Han and Rey. Han jumped a bit, startled. "Wait, one o'clock?" He asked excitedly. He realised that it was a Saturday and he could call Hux because it would be nine o'clock for him!

Then Ben checked the time. The clock said it was 10:02. That meant it was 6:02 for Hux. On a Saturday. Ben doubted that he was out partying so maybe, just maybe, he would be able to devote some of his time to him.

"What in the world, Ben?" Rey asked ask Ben rushed back into the bedroom.

He got on his phone and dialled Hux, putting the phone to his ear.

His heart skipped a beat when the ringing ended. Then he heard what he'd wanted to hear for 2 months now.

"Ben?" Said Hux, sheepishly, Ben thought, like he wasn't sure who was calling. Like he thought that someone was calling from Ben's phone. There was a pause, and then more quietly he asked, "This is Ben?"

Ben smiled, looking back into the living room part of the hotel room to check of Han and Rey could hear. Then he said, "Yes, Brendol. It's me."

"Hello, love."
